Yay for one week! Even if it is in the evening, it's better than staying home! I guess none of the earlier flights ever came down in price, or did you just quit checking on them? I still can't believe how much the price of flights has gone up since we flew in '09. Looks like we will be driving again this year if they stay that way... which I am sure they will.

So is everyone getting excited at your house!

The only morning non-stop flight is sold out. And the ones with stops are still crazy high. So 6pm it is. But we will get there eventually.

I hope you can get decent flights for your trip. But if not at least you are within a driving distance that isn't too awful.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We are just waiting out the time between church and soccer. It's not enough time to do anything, but it still seems to drag. Not that we could do much, it is freezing here!! As in the lower 40's. Should be real fun at the soccer fields.

And -- it always snows at least once after my birthday, so guess what's in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Yep - SNOW. I was rather hoping it would do that when we are in Florida!!!

I have to work Mon, Wed, Thu, and Fri this week. So I probably won't be on here too much. Guess I'll have to get all of my last minute stuff done on Tuesday. And then I have ALL DANG DAY next Saturday.

SNOW!!! That's crazy! We had one day (yesterday) of really windy and cool weather that was out of the ordinary. This has been a crazy spring all across the country! Yep, I'm sure you wouldn't mind if it snows every day while you're in Disney! I mean at home of course.

You do have a busy week ahead! Good thing you're such an early packer.

One good thing about your late flight is that you won't have been up since daylight. I always book as early of flight times as possible. But then when I think of how I have to get there at least 1 to 2 hours early, plus an hour drive to the airport, I start thinking, "What was I thinking of, booking a 7:00 a.m. flight?" I might like being able to sleep in and take my time getting ready and to the airport. I guess it's a trade-off!

It's cold here in Ohio too! Ugh!!! My DH cousin lives in Fresno and they were in their pool the other day and complaining about the heat. Big babies! They should come out East!

I can't believe you are still having snow. That just seems like a foreign concept to me!

We are wrapping up our soccer season here. I am so proud of my DD too! She scored 8 goals in her last game! I was doing this on the sidelines She has really come out of her shell this year. I hate to see the season end. It's been really fun. Oh and it was about 85 degrees at her last game. That's not ideal soccer temps either. She was pouring sweat like rain!

I hope you enjoy all the excitement of your last week before the trip! What is the date that you are coming back? I can't wait to hear about it all!

I saw that they are predicting snow for you, raining here and it is chilly and damp so I had the heat on earlier. Crazy since yesterday I had the a/c on.

We just finally got rid of our aweful crumby weather last this weekend and today i was able to soak up a little sun on my incredibly white skin and go for an outside run. maybe it'll warm up for you soon too. in the meantime it's definitely nice to be planning a warm get away when it's so the weather is so crumby right?

DAYS!!!​

SO I have a story to tell you.

I know, I know. But this didn't happen to me this time!!!


Okay so my cousin who lives in PR- her husband was in Orlando this weekend. Yesterday he was scheduled to fly back home. So he gets on the plane, texts her just as they are taxiing saying he's on the way, wheels are going up on the plane, he'd land at 4:30. He always waits until the last possible second to text her so that she knows he is on the way.

So an hour later she gets a text that reads "We're delayed"

She knew something was wrong b/c when he messaged her they were literally on the way.

He texts back that someone on the flight had said they had a weapon of some sort and they had her DH (BIG guy...) restrain the guy and they were on the way back into the terminal at MCO.

They shut the entire terminal down and had to search everyone and the plane and TSA, FBI were interviewing everyone.



I don't have any other details --- nothing was said on the news about it but He made it to PR last night and she messaged me that he was safe and asleep.

But yes, I can believe it!! They probably hide the majority of that stuff from us!! Which on one hand is probably for the better--we would all be too scared to go anywhere:"Ignorance is Bliss"! But on the other hand, if it's something they can sensationalize, they will put it everywhere...it's bizarre. so,.. I am voting you to be the daily entertainment of the thread, and contact person for Shelly while they are gone!!

My DH said the same thing about the news not reporting everything that happens. Maybe it's a good thing?? We'd all be chicken little's thinking the sky was falling all the time.

Well our big snowstorm is nothing but cold temps and rain. So far. They got everyone in a panic for nothing. They were saying 6-10 inches on the news. I figured we'd get 2-3, but we got nothing!! The warning is still up though as far as I know, so maybe it's still coming.

You are right, that is the only good thing about our evening flight -- we can sleep in as late as we want and no chance of us being tired when we get there!!

I am always sad when soccer season ends too. I just love watching DS play. He has been been having an awesome season so far. You are right -- 85 is not ideal soccer weather. And neither was 42 yesterday! For us it is usually one or the other, rarely in between.

We come back Sunday May 6. We have a morning flight home. So that's another day lost. I feel like this vacation is going to be so short. I guess we just need to make the most of our days there!!

It was 80 here about a week ago and now this. Crazy!! I don't think we will be seeing anymore sun til we get to Florida! At least we have that to look forward to.
