So, HOJO looks great, but a bit of a walk, does anyone know what cab fare is? I am suspecting it is much cheaper then staying at the GC....we stayed at the DLH last year and loved it, but I am looking to go cheaper this year. My biggest reservation about HOJO's is getting the then almost 6 year home after a day at DL. :cool1: :Pinkbounc

$10. Or so. After a long day in the summer of 2003, my kids (then 7, 8, 10, and 11) were too tired to make the walk back to HoJo where we were staying. I decided to hire a cab when it was near midnight. He lost his place in line and was disappointed we were only going to HoJo's. He told me it was $10. I paid.

Ho Jo's is also served by the Anaheim Resort Transit busses, which is $3 a day.

Hi!
We have stayed at both with an 18 month. I really didn't feel like the walk to DLH compared to the HOJO was not that different. DLH seems shorter than it really is b/c you are still in the magic and so many things to look at as you walk by. Harbor blvd isn't that exciting.
Have Fun!

The walk back to HoJo is much "shorter" if you stop at McDonalds for an ice cream cone on the way.

Truly, I don't think it's any farther than DLH. It's not bad at all.

The ART works very well. You can buy a pass for your stay which will save you money if you take it very often. The walk is probably about the same as the DLH but I agree in that it is not so pleasant. Also it is somewhat uphill on the way back. We would always walk in the morning and take the ART at night as my fil couldn't do it after a long day in the park. One thing, even though the HoJo is the closest hotel, the ART will stop there last at night. So you will pass the hotel (kind of a bummer) and then backtrack and be dropped off. We did have one driver one day that just let us out (we were the only ones riding midday) without pulling all the way into the parking lot.
