Anyone to Disney @ the end of Aug?

I've heard different things about the end of August and I need a second opinion on the crowds.
We'll be at the Shades of Green
Is it a nice hotel??

We are also going end of August (8/29/9/4). I chose that because the crowds are supposed to thin out. Schools in NJ do not got back until after Labor Day so the timing is good for us. Tour Plans has all days but the last rated as a 6 (out of 10). Our last full day is a 5. Looking at this rating system for the other times during the year, only rarely are days rated a 5 and almost never a 4. Another source said, and I am paraphrasing, if you cannot go the last week of august or in september try the first week of December. So I am thinking positively! Our last trip was Easter week 2 years ago and my kids missed out on so much because of the crowds.

I'll be there!!! We went last year at the end of AUG, and although it is warm, it wasn't so bad (compared to spring break or the christmas holiday!) we were able to get on many rides with minimal wait and get several fast passes.

We enjoyed it so much, we are going again this year!!

Our family has gone the last week in august for the last few years. That week normally is very uncrowded, however i thought last year seemed more crowded than the years prior. I have to wonder if the free dining has anything to do with it..........And the holiday weekend saturday and sunday were the worst of it, not horrible just more crowded than we are used to. We just spent memorial day weekend there, and that was more crowded than any day we ever spent in august. Cant wait, see you all there!!!!

i'll be there from aug 19-aug 28
we went last year the weather is so hot! You might want to get those freeze bandanas and fans (they help alot) they crowd is not to bad but with mt. everest and pirates idk!

We'll be there 8/22 - 8/31. We went the same week last year. The lines weren't too bad and while the weather was hot and humid it wasn't terrible. This will be our nephews first trip to Disney and my season Disney children will be acting as tour guide to their cousin.

Yeah we're preparing for the hot weather. Expecting it to be in the lower to mid 90's the whole week...thanks for the help everyone! Also, I was sad to see that the wonders of life pavillion at EPCOT will be closed during our visit meaning no body wars
!!!

Our first trip in the heat ,usually we go in the cooler months but decided to get crazy this time! We are going 8/27-9/4 staying at Pop!

Hi there! We are going for the first time for all of us the last week of Aug. the 27th through 9-1. We are prepping for the hot with those water misting fans everyone talks about and we are staying at POR - I am hoping all will go well and hoping for less crowds too!!! We'll see either way it is exciting!!!!

My husband and I will be there from 8/26-9/1. We can't wait!! We are staying at POP. This will be our first time going together (it is our 10 yr anniv). Neither of us have been since late 80's early 90's. Hope it is all we are wishing for!?!

HI! Almost time...ONLY 7 weeks till we leave....I am so EXcited. We will be staying at the All Star Music resort...Aug 25 till the 30th...
The best part is No kids...Just me and the boyfriend...Heaven. hehehe

We've gone in August several times, this year 24-31! Corwds are managable, and I plan to be dining during the heat of the day. Kansas 105- Florida 90-

Hi all,

My family is going to Disney the 24th through 31st. I am a school teacher and I actually start school the day after we return to New Jersey! If too hot, we will plan on a lot of swimming. Hopefully, the crowds will be thinned down. We went during the 4th of July week last year and it was just way too crowded. See you all in the world.
