How are the spring break crowds? Just curious - I'm not going until August. :Pinkbounc

Its been pretty busy the past week or two but not terrible. MK and AK have been very busy.

We were there last week (March 12-18) and found it to be more crowded than our Spring Break trip last year (which was a week earlier in March, so that probably had a lot to do with it). Certainly doable, tho!

:goodvibes Hello, just got back on Monday. Loved MK early in the AM, before the late sleepers got to the park - The open space all around you or until around 11:00 was great then the crowd started to arrive.

When we arrived at AK, I tried to get a Fastpast before heading towards the Safaris for "It's Tough to be a bug" but was advised by CM that they didnt' think the park was going to get that busy and thus they were not offering FP tickets (Sunday 3-19-06). I was surprised because it really seemed like even that early, the park was busy (when they opened at 9:00). We did manage to get into the show without a FP and really didn't have to wait too long so maybe they do know how crowded the parks get even right before the holiday/spring break.

But be advised that if you want to ride the Yeti, get there early as the wait time was anywhere from 30 - 80 minutes. The actual sign indicated 60 min. but we only in line for 40 so.... And boy what a GREAT ride - loved it.... can't wait to go back and ride it again.

We were there March 4-11 and it wasn't to bad. Crowds seemed a little heavier than last year during this same week (DS's spring break generally falls the first full week of March) but it was manageable. There were only a few times that I felt really crowded while trying to maneuver the parks.

The parks seemed much more crowded than when we usually go this past week (march 19-22) but other than a trip at the end of Feb, we usuually go in Sept, October, early Dec, January, and early May.

I have seen the parks more crowded but wait times were definately long and FP were gone early in the day, at EPCOT the soaring FP were being given out for 5-6pm by 11:00 am.

We though AK was the most crowded we've ever seen it, but surprisingly, it did thin out some towards the end of the day. There wasa long line for Rafiki's Planet Watch - I've never seen a line beyond the entrance to the area before! WE also had a late lunch, and still waited a while to get our food. On the EMH day, all the fastpasses were gone by early afternoon, and we almost left...but then it started to thin out. Still the new ride seemed crowded whenever we went by.

We also went to AK a second time, and it wasn't quite as bad the second day, but still very crowded.

Otherwise the parks were about what we expected for this time of year. The main pool at our hotel was also very crowded - POR - but this was our first time staying there, and maybe our last. WE weren't especially happy with our room location. The bus service was also marginal. If you stay there, and you use the bus service -use the main stop (South Station) every time. Often the bus did not even go tothe other stops, or if it did, it was already full. I can't imagine waint 25 minutes for a bus only to have it full, and then having to wait longer for another bus! Yuck!

The park hours were pretty extended too, so that helps if you can stay in the parks that long.

Just back from a Mar 14-18 trip. The "Pixie Dust" must of really been with us! We had a wonderful trip. The weather was everything you'd want it to be, the crowds were very managable. Probably our longest wait was for Soaring at Epcot and that couldn't have been longer than 15-20 mins standby line. This was probably the first time in all our many WDW trips that the FP use made just about all rides a walk on, even EE which we rode 3 times :cool1: I told my DH now that our youngest DS is in college and we can pick our WDW dates for other than school vacation times this is the way to go! After 15 trips to the world this was easily the best trip yet.

We just got back Tuesday night (Mar 14 to 21). To me, crowds seemed more than our other March trips, but manageable. I overheard a woman on the MGM boat who works parttime at the Tusker House in AK...she said AK is now the second most popular park behind MK because of EE.

That being said, we found MGM more crowded on Tues the 14th than Tues the 21st. MK was crowded last Thurs...but for the most part, it wasn't too bad. Most times the wait time posted was about 10 min longer than the actual wait (DSIL was our official timekeeper!).

Generally, March is busy, but it gets crazy when it coincides with Easter! Won't ever make that mistake again!

I was there, on and off, between 3/14 and 3/19 and I can truthfully say that in all the years I have been going I have never seen it so crowded. The MK parking lot reminded me of the old days when only MK was there. It was wall to wall people. I like some crowds but I could have handled a little less.

I don't understand why my Disney stock isn't rising at the speed of sound.

:rolleyes1 :grouphug: :rolleyes2

I'll be there in less than 48 hours, so I'm especially interested in this. Anyone else have crowd information?
