How are the crowds? Pics? We are planning a super secret Christmas trip. Anything you can tell me about your day at MK would be great.

I was at Epcot at rope drop this morning (Xmas) and I rode Soarin', then Test Track and then Mission: Space (orange). I was done with all three of them in one hour and fifteen minutes. And that was without any Fast Passes. The line of cars waiting to get into MK was horrendous. It went on for miles, but Epcot was very manageable.

For today? Are you going today?

If it's for next year, things may be so different that this year is irrelevant - just think how different this year is from last year. Magic bands, FP+, etc, have made touring in the crazy-busy times a lot harder to predict.

Parks are manageable first 3-4 hours in am.. then late nights. haven't been or never would be anytime in between... that's not vacation to us. It has been a very great Christmas vacation

We hit MK both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day...arrived by 0710 (walked from Contemp so don't know how transportation/parking were). Christmas Eve morning we rode Space mtx2, Astro, pirates, 7 dwarves (fast pass) and a break for cinnamon roll and cocoa at gastons! Then Big Thunder, Splash, Haunted Mansion, shopped at Momento Moris and Christmas Shop, lunch at LTT. After lunch Big Thunder fast pass, went on the People Mover, got stuck in Carosel of Progress, then Space Mt fastpass. We then left as crowds were thick, it was about 315 when we left. Walked back to Contemp as monorail looked swamped!

Christmas Day we walked on Space 2x, did Astro Orbiter, Buzz, Big Thunder, back to Space for fast pass, stopped for coffee/snack, tried to do pirates with a 25 min line but it broke down and we left to go to CRT breakfast at 1000. The crowds were great 7-8 ish, growing at 9, and Fantasyland was a throng at 10. After breakfast (about noon) the crowds were thick and lined up for the parade, so we went to Tom Sawyers Island and let the kids exolore. We waited there, hit the bathrooms, then used fast pass for a Big Thunder (wait time said 115 mins) at the end of our window, then used fast pass for Splash at the beginning of the window. Plan after that was to take the train to front of the park, but the line was looooong so we walked instead. The CMs really do a great job of keeping lanes flowing...took the monorail back with no wait, and were relaxing in our room by 230. Pretty leisurely pace for us, not militant commando.

Tonight we are headed for late night, so we will see the difference between rope drop and wee hours! I was very nervous about this trip, but so far good planning and early arrival have been great!

They seem to be having issues with Pirates. We rode it on the 16th and it broke down while on it (they gave us a free fast pass). I went back Friday morning before my dialysis session and it was down all morning. Saw on my phone app that it just came back up as I had to leave.

I wonder if the other 3 parks are busy at all? Anyone at Epcot/DHS/AK today?

We were at epcot earlier. Early entry at 7:20 am. Rode test track four times without leaving vehicle then moved on to soarin. Changed all our fastpasses to magic kingdom for tonight. Have had a wonderful trip so far with good park planning, early arrival, breaks during mid day and late touring. Rode all major attractions multiple times - everest on xmas eve six times walking on each time in opening 45 minutes as an example. Get there early, then get out.

We are at AK right now. We arrived at around 5pm. It's beautifull here at night. I've never been to AK in the dark. :)

There were very few people arriving at 5pm, mostly people pouring out. There are lots of people around Everest right now though. The wait time for Everest is posted as 45 minutes. We just used a FP and that standby time seems about right.

@Disneylover99...yes...I know!!! Isn't it gorgeous at night!!!!:thumbsup2

Expedition Everest at night is one of the best experiences to be had in all of WDW!

So did it seem like there were a lot of people pouring out of there when you arrived at 5 like the park
had actually been crowded earlier? Or was it like it was just a "moderate" crowd?

I asked some people at my resort who were there during the day if it was crowded. They said it was crowded, but not crazy crowded.

The problem is, there is not much open between 6-8pm. We did Everest 4 times and walked on Dinosaur right before closing.
