Anyone there know- crowds for this weekend??

Coming in for a quick trip- heard of big crowds anyone know??

Animal Kingdom is having the DVC and passholder preview for Expedition Everest so that area will probably be more crowded than usual.

I really am hoping that is not right.
We are leaving Friday for the AP Preview of Everest and DH's B-Day.
I didn't have a hard time finding a room. And just a couple of days ago I switched hotels without a problem.

Good lord, I picked this time of the year so I wouldn't have to deal with the crowds. I just can't win. I will be checking in on Sunday so hopefully the crowds will clear out after the weekend.

Just got back last night from 4 days. Crowds are very manageable--nothing like Easter crowds. On Monday Rocking Roller Coaster was a walk on. Tuesday Big Thunder was a 10 minute wait. Lots of fast pass machines are closed because the crowds don't require it. Enjoy.

I think most of the parks should be good with crowd levels. Animal Kingdom is going to be a zoo (no pun intended). I had a friend get me in last weekend for the cast member preview and the park was packed. They were re-parking the lot and it was full. Over at Everest the posted time for the line (at this point) was 115 minutes. The sign is posted at the beginning of the building and there was a 30? minute wait to get to that point. They had cast members telling cast that it is a 2.5 hour wait and to come back if you didn't have a fastpass already. If you plan on doing animal kingdom do it before the weekend and you should be fine. I was also told that Everest is planned on being open constantly depending on mechanical problems from know on.

Ew! Not what I was hoping for!

I had to call last night due to a mix up for our Pop ressie, and was told there is no availablity there for check in on Friday and check out on Sunday, but there was space at AS Music and Movies.

UGH! Dh and I are coming down for the weekend for our first trip away from the kids in 9yrs!!! I picked this time because it's usually quieter We are not DVC or AP holders so maybe we should just avoid AK. I love AK though. Now I'm sad. We were planning on going to AK on Sunday Morning.

Do you think the crowds will die down after the weekend? I'll be there all week.

The EE event is only until 1-29 so you will be all set and Len posted the rest of the parks should be fine so I will go with a glad heart and hope for the best. If all else fails go early before park opening get right in at opening- go to your favorites and send a runner for fast passes every hour until 12:00 you will get a lot!

I had my choice of quite a few resorts with the AP discount for this weekend when I called today. Fear not.

Friday and Saturday are busy at the resorts. But when I checked recently, WL even had Standard rooms available Sunday and Monday. AK will be busier than normal for this time of year, but I wouldn't compare DVC/AP previews with castmember previews. The castmembers live there and most AP/DVC members will not be able to travel at the last minute. I am a compulsive, paranoid freak and I am not worried about the crowds. (Okay, maybe I am a little concerned that Dinosaur, my favorite ride, will have longer waits than usual.)
