We are staying onsite for 7 nights but may do Orlando instead of Tampa for three nights before our 7 night stay. Does anyone recommend a nice resort that will offer you a special rate to attend a 90 minute presentation. I have seen some with tickets included. Any suggestions appreciated!!

Hello, We were actually looking for the same deal. If you can find someone who owns a timeshare @ the place you'd like to stay they can do a refer a friend program. For instance i called Orange Lake in Orlando and they have an offer; If you do the 90 minute presentation you can stay 3 nights for $199 in a 2 bedroom 2 bath villa.

If ya find anything eles resonable please let me know as we haven't made definate plans yet.

Thanks.....

I am using http://www.orlandovacations4less.com. They offer quite a few resorts to choose from. I have use them in the past with great results.

This is just me, but...with so many excellent deals in Orlando for condo rentals, there just isn't much of a reason to go on a timeshare tour. Life is simply far too short.

My husband would agree! I wasn't going to tell him about the timeshare thing until we were ready to leave. We are flying my parents out for the weekend and told them we would pay for everything since they don't travel much. I was hoping to get a really good deal on a condo since we are staying at Poly for 7 nights.

What condos do you suggest that are really nice and a good rate?

We recently returned and did both Marriott and Sheraton presentations on this trip and were able to add 8 nights on to our DVC week. Both presentations were low pressure and definitely worth the special offer.

I heard Marriott is low pressure. How did you get signed up with them to do it and what did they offer you for your time...if you don't mind me asking you?

We did the same ones!! We stayed at Cypress Harbour 2 bedroom for 199 with 100 back for tickets and four nights stay. Comes to 25 per night. We then decided we wanted to stay three days later so we found Vistana Village for 115 a night on orbitz for a single bedroom. It was not really a great price but we figured we had saved so much on Cypress that we would do it. Well when we got to Vistana Village the woman at the parking ticket desk asked if we had ever stayed there. We replied that wehad and then she asked if we had taken the tour. We said no. She asked if we wanted tickets to take the tour we said no. So she said how about 200 cash to take the tour. Itook the tour at 7 am was finished by 830 before my son even got up!! It cost me 245.oo total for the week! Plus they let us check itno both resorts on or before 10am. I could not find better deals this summer. Skyauction is not great anymore.

I would suggest you call Marriott. They are more than willing to have fresh meat for their tours. They are both low pressure BUT we had a really obnoxious salesman at Marriott. His name was Sonny and he really and truly presented a challege to me. I am not good at being nice to people who are obnoxious and he got the vibe really early in the presentation. He had like 5 photo albums of his family but the thing that got me the most was when he pulled out his head shot and told us he was in some movies and then showed us some book he wrote about dancing. Way to tick me off! I just kept looking at my watch and the presntation was over in exactly 90 min. Keep in mind that the breakfast does not count in the time so DO NOT EAT with the salesman.

Oh I forgot to mention that Sheraton also gave us a coupon for half off our next stay. It is for half off the rack rate but I figure that if we are desperate we could stay in a one bedroom at V. V. for about 75 per night. It was very hard to find deals this year.

You can usually get a 2BR at Cypress Pointe or CPGV on hotelkingdom.com for about $100 per night. You can also get fantastic deals on privately owned condos and townhomes. Send an inquiry to www.windsorhillsrent.com with your dates---depending on when you are going, and how far in advance or last minute you are planning, you can get some really great deals.

I was priceing a place too stay through Orbitz and was offer $150.00 off my total room rate if I attended the time share presentation at the Mike Ditka resort that is 3 miles from Disney. It is a new resort that just opened in 2007.

Check it out.

That is a good rate but that is not a gated resort. I always stay at a gated resort. I know it offers a false sense of security but it is better than nothing IMHO>

check on ebay!
we got a 7 night 2 bedroom stay for $249. , they have had some of the 3 night ones for 59-79.
these are usually at star island or silver lake.
but... CONFIRM with the resort your presentation time, do not go with the confirmation email time, the resort & the seller do not have their communication down,, they totally messed up our day & wanted to make us go another day..... would have thrown off all our plans for the week.
& yup I'd do it again.
