Hi, in October we received a pin code for kids eat free with mod/value resort. I booked CBR for 6 days/5 nights. I was thinking of switching to the new offer and was quoted that it would cost only $200 more to switch and I would get the $500 gift card. While I think it is a good deal (as I would be getting $300 to use in the parks), I am having trouble convincing husband to do it.

Did anyone switch from a previous offer to the new one? Did you find it added a lot to your trip cost?

TIA!

There are a few people who have made the switch. Did you make sure the CM mirrored your exact reservation when you called (meaning the matched the new ressie to be the same as the old one)? Also, you can save a little bit by just getting 5 day tics on the new deal, and then using the GC to add on a day once you are at the parks (and even do an upgrade to the park hopper option, if you added on your previous ressie).

If you get the GC for $500 by only spend $200 more... then you can easily use the GC to pay for all your tips & such for your meals, as well as the souvies you want to buy. I think a switch would be a good deal for you guys!

I switched from my 35% of Mod Pin to the GC but I also went from the POFQ to the Pop. Reason being, I had two rooms to book. The cash price was the $50 cheaper to go to the park plus I got 2 GC for $300 each. So I'm up $650. Im using one to pay for tips and food and the other for whatever.. which will be good becauase it's both my boys birthdays and our first trip. :goodvibes

We made the switch. Our package price went up slightly ($135) and I downgraded a little but in the end we will be ahead about $200.

We are staying at POFQ so we get the $500 GC. I downgraded to regular tickets and will use the GC to upgrade to park hoppers for $167. I plan to use that to pay for tips on our TS meals (I estimate about $100 based on where we have ADRs) and the rest can be used for splurging on an adult beverage or a snack not covered on the plan.

Good luck & have a great trip.

Thanks for your answers. I was quoted at $200 more to convert. That would give me essentially $300 more to spend. Now, I just have to convince hubby to do it. Seems like a no-brainer to me!!!!! ;)

Wish me luck :rotfl2:
