Anyone stayed club level recently?

maggiew,

Could you find out about check-out day, whether or not you still have access to the lounge later in the day on check-out day. Thanks! :)

I thought you had access to the lounge on check-out day also? That's one of the reasons I booked club level: We have a late flight on our check-out day and I wanted to hit the parks one last time for a few hours, go back and relax in the lounge in the afternoon until about 5 p.m., then leave for the airport. Does anyone know for sure?

when i have stayed club at hrh, i had the right to use club until i left for the airport.
i had to check out of my room at the appropiate time, but was able to have access to club after that.

i went to the club to wait, relax until my ride came.

talk to the front desk or at the conceirge desk in the club lounge for more details about usage.

Did you happen to notice what time the lounge opened for breakfast? We've been pondering that on this thread.

I asked about that and was told it opened at 7. Well, IOA opened at 8 that day, so we wanted to be at the park at 7! They said they could not possibly open any earlier because their shift didn't start until 6:30. I asked about getting "boxed breakfasts" or something earlier than 7, so we could get our entire early hour at IOA. They were not able to offer any other way to get the b'fast that was included in the price I paid. They did mention that some restaurants in the park served breakfast.
It ended up working our for us b/c DS was able to ride FJ and go to Olivander's on the evening of day one at IOA, so we didn't have to use the early hour. We slept in a little and ate before going back to the parks.

You know, I thought about doing that....stopping at the front desk and asking if we could visit the club level lounge one more time. I should have- it might have worked! I didn't think about those who have late flights. I bet they will let you hang out there for a while. Oh, well! Good luck!

Note: This was enough food for us for breakfast and dinner. We only spent an additonal $60 per day on lunches and snacks. (2 adults and 2 kids)

Ok what is a normal tip and how often do you offer. Considering Club level, most of my past research of this is with Disney and they can not accept cash tips so this is new territory. Thank you...

The first night I gave them $5 when they helped pack up a tray of food/drinks to take back to our room.

Then each night we gave them $1 when my DH and I ordered beer/wine.

Just want to thank Samepooh for taking the time to post all that. People on this board are the greatest!!!:cool1:

Yes -- thank you! :thumbsup2

I just switched us from the HRH to Club Level at the RPR and I am so excited!

That was what we did, too! I will be curious to hear how the parks were for you guys. DH and I are in our early 40s (well, he is going to be 40 in a couple of weeks) and have always ridden roller coasters with our kids. This trip, DH had a really hard time with the coasters. He had terrible vertigo and even considered going to the doctor when we got home! He is military and is usually pretty tough, so I was a bit worried. Anyway, the vertigo went away after we got home and he did a little research. Turns out, it is not recommended to go to amusement parks right after a cruise because your body doesn't have time to readjust to land. Odd, huh? If you guys ride the roller coasters at Universal, post and let me know if you had problems with vertigo! I wonder how common it is.....I didn't have any problems and I hope you don't, but hubby sure did!

Can you add on club level and pay the additional price once you get there? We have a standard room at RPR and I'm still trying to decide if I want to go club level. Or, are there only a certain number of club level rooms and I'd need to reserve one?
Thanks!!

There are a certain number of rooms (all are on the same floor), so you might want to reserve one in advance. You could see if there were any vacant club level rooms when you check in, but you would be taking a chance. Have fun!

with rpr i would book club before you get there to make sure you have a room.

at pb it's easy to book club at check-in because there is no designated club

floor like there is at rpr.

we have stayed club at rpr twice in december and it's great.

we had room 3712 and it was perfect! great view of pool and a little of the park and very close to the lounge.

we are doing club level at HRH in August. does anyone know if the food at that club level is the same as the one posted for the other hotel?? i'm not sure if we should stop on our way and buy snacks to keep in the room or not. If what is listed is the same at all 3 hotels then its plenty and we dont' need to stop. :confused3

Thanks for all the tips. I just switched to club level. We will in be in Daytona Beach next week and plan to go to IOA for a day for my big HP fan DD. We'll be coming up the afternoon before and plan to relax, swim in the pool and spend the next day at IOA.

I understand we have access to club level the day of check out. I thought it would be nice to take a little break in the afternoon and head back to the lounge and relax/have some snacks, etc. I know we'll have checked out but thought a break would be a good idea.

Is it feasible and close enough to walk over from the parks to relax a bit at the hotel, or do you think this is going to be a big hassle and we should just plan to spend all our time at IOA.

Thanks!
