Anyone stayed at Castle Inn & Suites/other similar close suite hotels?

This is only our 2nd time to DL, we're going Aug. 1-5. The 1st time a travel agent arranged the whole thing, this time I'm giving it a shot. I would really like to find a 2 room suite so that my 16-year-old can have his space from his uncool parents and 9-year old sis. I also want to keep the cost under $125 a night, be close to DL, and have a decent pool area. Continental breakfast would be great, but I'm starting to give in on that one. I actually have reservations right now at the Desert Inn & SUites for exactly the kind of room I want, but after reading about that scary experience with the credit card by another poster, I'm leaning (strongly) towards changing accomodations. I tried to get a suite at Hojo, but apparently there aren't many and they go fast. The Best Western Park Place Inn mini suite sounds really good, but the rate is a bit higher than I wanted. Does anyone know of a way to get a better rate there?

My Dh and I stayed at the Desert Palm Inn and Suites and it was nice and VERY reasonably priced. Your right next to the park too! We could see the fireworks from our window. We used Expedia and ended up getting $80/night for a 1 bedroom suite. It had 2 standard beds and a living area.

I've stayed at the Desert Inn and Suites twice and would do so again.

Cheers.

We're staying at the Best Western Park Place Inn & Mini Suites in about 3 weeks. I will post about our trip, hotel, and the like when we get back!

We stayed in a regular room at the Castle for our honeymoon. It was nothing fancy but nice, clean and quiet and reasonably priced.

Thanks for the advice; after numerous reservations (later canceled!), I decided to give the Park Inn Mini Suites a try. I was able to get a great rate of $116 a night for a mini suite because my husband works in a government agency. I'll be anxious to see what MomtoJoce has to say when she gets back. Hope you have a comfortable stay, and a blast at the park! (Hope we do too!)

You sound like me :) I will definitely post our Best Western Park Place Inn experience. And despite where we all stay I'm sure we'll all have a blast!! The closer it gets to the trip the LESS I worry about the hotel and the MORE I focus on all the fun we're going to have in the parks!!
