I have not but my DD and her DH were there last May right at the season point break. They booked three nights with some "holding" points and got a fourth night free. They were carried away by the resort, the grounds and the views of the mountains. They either had a suite or were upgraded to a suite. They cooked in several nights. I think they have a really upscale restaurant. When they returned home they raved about the place. They took one day and drove to the Grand Canyon.

I've stayed there...not on points though. For the money, I would pick one of the other resorts in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. The lobby is really astounding if you are a Frank Lloyd Wright style of architecture fan. The first room we were assigned to was totally unacceptable. We were moved to a room that had been renovated and it was fine. Not stunning, but fine. Lots of pools scattered around, but no food or towel service at any but the main pool, which surprised me. But with so many pools you can always find a quiet spot. They have a putting green type of mini golf available for guests that was fun. Great food. The grounds were truly a masterpiece in that it was probably the first resort that 'tamed' the desert...you wouldn't know where you were. Some of the other resorts have worked with more natural landscaping and worked within the contraints of the beautiful landscaping the desert allows.

we have three times..........but we are biased because we are Frank Lloyd Wright admirers...........we loved the resort and the grounds as well as the service.............food was also very good............great place to stay..........our second choice is the Phoenician and it too is magical

I just got a flyer in the mail. Not sure how the price compares to using the points, but it says ask for the "Spring Retreat" when booking. Valid through 4/30/05 : Stay 3 nights and get a $100 credit for spa services. Rates from $295 a night.

We stayed there but not on points. Got a great deal last year for about $150 bucks a night.

The wife loved the relaxation and the pools. Walk the surrounding neighborhood if you can.

If you plan eating there bring a fat wallet. They are quite proud of their food. Two burgers, fries, cokes at the "diner" there set us back about 60 bucks.
