Hi~

We are planning on going to WDW in Feb of '09 and I am getting overwhelmed with deciding where to stay off site. I found this resort with cottages that are pretty reasonable, but am afraid of why they are cheaper. Isn't that terrible to be leary of something because it's not as expensive? So anyway, anyone have any experience with this resort?

Thanks

If it is the resort I'm thinking of, it is mostly an RV park and there are sections with small cottages. Does that sound correct? We stayed there in our motorhome over New Year's 2007. I did not see the inside of the cottages, but the resort itself is well maintained and our kids (older kids) enjoyed the swimming pool which was well heated in the winter. Since this is first an RV park, the cottages are relatively small and kind of surrounded by large motorhomes. For an RV park there is quite a bit of room between each site, but for cottages it might feel a bit closed in. The people there were very nice and it was safe and in a great location.

We stoped by there in '01 to look around It used to be a popular place recogmended on this site. They were very friendly and took us on a tour. They were cute and small, think small mobile home. probally 15 years old now.
I would consider it over a hotel room but I would consider a nice condo/ townhome/ villa for the money. The last time I checked they were around the same price as a condo at Windsor Hills.
The pool stays open 24 hours but It is about a 5 minute walk to Old Town and Yes it is also a nice rv park.
Check VRBO they have some townhomes for 59.00 a night that are less than 2 years old at Villas Of Seven dwarfs lane.

I've stayed at Tropical Palms many times. Last year I requested one of the newer cottages and it was really nice. some of the older cottages are getting really beat up. I did have reservations for this April but I cancelled them to stay in Windsor Hills. This will be my first time staying there. For another $160on top of what Tropical Palms is charging I can have a 3 bedroom, 3 bath with my own little swimming pool. It's only me and my mother in law but I like the privacy of my own bedroom and TV, and of course my own pool. :woohoo:

My daughter and GC stayed here last year. They enjoyed it and say they would go back and we visited them there. Personally I would try for a timeshare rental or like other posters Windsor Hills.
