I think I am going to Disney AGAIN!! Yeah!! Just got back from AKL 2/8 and 2/16 and have been conspiring a way to get back there before our June 2003 trip!! Then, in the mail, comes my lifesaver... an offer from Marriott Grande Vista for a two bedroom villa for 4 night/5 days for $299. We can add on another two nights for $149/night. That makes 6 nights/7 days for under $600!! And we are going with our Aunt and Uncle who will split the cost!! YEAH!

I was starting to look into timeshares anyways so this will be a nice intro for the Marriott's program. Has anyone stayed there and done their presentation? How is it? How is the resort?

Since we were already planning on going down in June 2003 (CBR and AKL), I will get AP's for this trip in October! And we'll get a chance to do Universal and IOA also!!

I am sooooo excited!:bounce: Another chance to do Disney! Can't beat the cost... although this time we will drive to save the extra money (we will fly in June).

I am trying to do it under $1500 for a 10 day vacation (not including the APs since they will come out of the Disney 2003 fund! :D )... The villa comes with a huge kitchen so that will save on meals out... It sleeps 8 people!

Any advice? On driving with 3 young kids (6, 4, and 2)? Staying at the Grande Vista?

Thanks!

So Cited!

We did the timeshare presentation here for a great price on our stay here in '00. It was very, very low pressure and didn't stay much more than 45 minutes. We booked the 1st time available and were just upfront with our rep that we were not interested. He was polite and gave us a quick tour and had us sign off on the pwork.

Our kids loved the property...they enjoyed both the big pool and quiet pool near our rooms. There have been quite a few threads started about the property. You also can check here for more info:

Very easy drive to Disney parks, shopping and restaurants. Enjoy!

Beautiful resort! You'll enjoy it a lot.

Since you are interested & considering a timeshare... do take a look around at the Advice articles and free forums at Timeshare Users Group. TUG is invaluable before you get involved... will save you thousands on a purchase by choosing wisely to get what you really need most for your individual family's situation.

We love our timeshares and we've traded to many lovely properties in the Orlando area. But by learning the ropes on TUG, we don't own there and just trade in rather cheaply. Feel free to email me for additional suggestions or info on timesharing in the area.

Enjoy your stay at Marriott Grande Vista. A search on the DIS forums will provide some threads with quite a bit of detail on other people's stays there (including ours). :D
