Anyone see the picture of Brittney Spears...

I can't imagine what her life must be like going out to get coffee and being surrounded by people who want her picture.

Well, she can imagine it because she lives it everyday, and she should have expected it. I think she is very used to it and even though celebrites seem to be annoyed by it, I think saying that she was frightened is pure crap. Come on, she knows they want her picture - big deal. Hold up your coffee cup, smile for a while and move on. I don't feel sorry for any celebrity that complains about pictures and privacy issues - hey, if you're willing to take the millions of dollars and the mansions and the adoration, then take a little inconvenience. If not, don't pursue stardom...I don't think any of these people were yanked kicking and screaming into the spotlight against their will. If someone taking my picture was my biggest complaint in life I would think I had it pretty good.

She is just a self-involved twit.

But that is the point. She arranged for a staged photo shoot so that the pictures would be taken and hopefully she would not get chased around for the "first shot" of her baby. I have read that many celebs do this to avoid being hounded for candid pictures. The thinking is that if she allows some pictures on her own terms, then the public would be statisfied and there wouldn't be so much pressure to get a candid shot.

But this obviously doesn't always work.
they all do this now
britney, sarah jessica, madonna, baby apple. They all had pics and takena dn given as to avoid being hounded by the press when in public for every second.

Ok, I just look at the pictures again. This third picture shows the car clearly stopped in a turning lane. The bodyguard is not on the phone. Why is he not putting the baby in the infant seat?? They are in traffic, not just in the middle of a neighborhood, next to her home. Meaning--right in front of her house with no real risk of an accident. I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, come on!! After looking at the photos, I have no idea what she was thinking. I would think if it was not Brittney Spears, anyone else would be having CPS over at their home that afternoon!! :confused3

I don't understand why there is a debate about the safety of a child? Whether or not she is a "good" mom, she put her child in danger (and herself if she indeed isn't wearing a seatbelt).

Personally, I think there is a big difference between releasing ONE "official" picture (which Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker did) and having a big, full color, multi-picture thread in People magazine (which is what Britney Spears did)

Tons of celebrities have children. Not all celebrities have a history of behaving outrageously in public to court media attention.

::yes::

As some others have pointed out, she doesn't look the least bit frightened by any of it. I've seen other photos online today that actually show her smiling in some of them. I do think she's a twit for this stunt.

:offtopic:

What I don't understand is, what is with all these celebs & their coffee?! They have the money---buy a damn coffeemaker! :rotfl:

Ooops she did it again :sad2: Oy Britney. Pretty girl, fun music but pretty lacking in the common sense department. I hope she learns from this.

Probably just the beginning of her new career of making a celebrity of herself for things other than music. It was always about the voice box and her bod, and I doubt anybody will buy that again.

Is there proof she was driving liek that or just pictures in the lot?

Do you think she is capable of making her own coffee?

aren't there pics of her smoking while clearly pregnant with the kid? she's nothing but white trash with money. celebrities spend their lives basically screaming 'look at me, look at me!". then when people do, they cry and scream. that poor kid.

if her bodyguard can't protect her from guys with cameras, maybe he can at least learn to make coffee..

Nah, I don't think she can even handle boiling water, much less making anything, especially considering it seems like most days she's forgotten what a hairbrush looks like too. :rotfl:

All I can say is I am very glad that all my stupid Mommy moments weren't caught on film, I'd probably be in jail!

If

I don't see the big deal here. If you listen to parents from the 1960s, all the kids rode in the front seat, there were no car seats, seatbelts were rarely used. kids sat on you lap, kids laid down across the seats, etc. and most of us are alive to tell the tales!

YES but in those days the speed limits weren't nearly as fast as they are now & everyone drove tanks! Those things didn't flip & roll 'cause they weighted so much! We were alos ignorant then about safety.....just because back then we were safe doesn't mean it's okay now....

what danger, to the best of my knowledge there has yet to be an incident, of paparazzi, attacking anyone in a vehicle..

Actually, there have been a long list of celebs recently being chased/attacked in their cars....Scarlett Johansson (Disneyland parking lot), Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton etc......

Also, did it ever occur to anyone that the body guard may not be allowed to actually touch/handle the baby. I know their contracts are usually very specific about what they can and cannot do.

Again, I don't know why I feel the need to defend Britney because I don't really like her......but it drives me nuts at how quick people are to judge and condemn others. Apparently most of the posters on the DIS are saints and know exactly what every situation involves and knows exactly how they would react.......

Not debating her mommy skills....but since there is photographic evidence should she be given a ticket for what she did. I know she can pay it 1000 times over but I do think she should get a ticket and it hopefully will be highly publicized so that it might make an impression on those who are not as rich.
