Anyone see "Planes"?

Just got back from trip last week. I had gotten invitation to a preview screening of Planes at the DD AMC. We thought it was a very good movie. My kids enjoyed it a lot. Did anybody else attend? This is the first time I had gotten this kind of special bonus from DVC. It certainly was one of the highlights of our trip.

So neat! My son is three and a half, and we were thinking of taking him to see this as his very first movie in a theater. Did you see it in 3D? Did you have kids? Did they enjoy it too? How old were they?

Our daughters are 5 and 2 and they both enjoyed it. Our 2 year old actually fell asleep in the middle of it, but she had woke up way too early that day. It was in 3D, and they made very good use of the 3D without it being superfluous. My wife is actually very reluctant to have the kids watch animated movies that have scary themes or characters, so this movie was just right for them.

We saw it too this weekend! We loved it and it made a good 3D movie (not just converted)! My 20 yr old & 16 yr old sons said it was definitely funnier than BOTH Cars movies!! We love getting a little insight to the movie by meeting the producer & director of Planes - makes us appreciate the treat DVC has given to us members!! Wish they continue to do more of these events for us DVCer's!!

I just posted this in another thread...

They had a screening at a local military base. I wasn't expecting much but I loved it. We will have to see it again because the theater was very loud- full of kids. But I am so glad we saw it for the first time there. Because first they played the national anthem with video playing that brought tears to my eyes. Then there was a wonderful video on Disney- Heroes Work Here highlighting CMs that with military backgrounds. Tears again. Then throughout the whole movie - tears,laughing, tears, laughing. I am not sure if I would have teared up so much if it wasn't for the introductions before the movie.

Our whole family loved it. I won't talk much about it because I would be afraid to spoil but all ages will love. So many laughs...

Perfect just the way it is. No sequel needed.

We tried to sign up 3 hrs after email was sent and it was already full. It's nice to know that DVC does things like this for their members.

I was glad to receive the invitation, but declined because we were going on the Fantasy that day. Special things like that do make me pleased to be DVC.
