That's a good question i think i might post it to find out and maybe some more stuff about common grounds, but i think it's a coffee bar i don't know exactly what they have there, but i remember going in there a few times and people complaining that we wen't allowed to have any thing since it was with the Lab

meeting on deck 10 above the gofy pool was exactly where I was thinking that was where we met our family last time and it was a perfect spot to see every thing

Are we all set to meet on Deck 10? Sounds good to me! Are we all wearing a particular color t-shirt or ribbon?

Any excursion suggestions? We're thinking about kayaking and the dolphin swim. Has anyone been to Jimmy Buffet's restaurant in Key West?

I'm ready to meet on deck 10!!! I was thinking of a bright color either ribbons or shirts ribbons may be better because your not gonna see as many people with ribbons it would be more distinct

Amy~ I haven't been to Jimmy Buffet's resturant But I heard The one in Universal was really good so that may say something for the one in Key West

I think the "traditional" color for DIS ribbons is a green like a lime green. That would certainly stand out. It sounds like everyone is pretty set on meeting during the sailaway party on Deck 10 on the terminal (starboard) side approximately midship (where the Goofy pool is).

As for excursions I mentioned to my family at breakfast this morning that we'll be at 90 days next week Friday so we need to start seriously looking at excursions. I know that in Key West we're looking at the DCL sponsored Wild Life Preserve Kayaking. Grand Cayman - Stingray City is one of the leading options and Cozumel DD and I will be horseback riding, not sure what the guys are looking at.

As for excursions...We won't be going on any. We just plan to explore the ports on our own.

We're from Michigan, and I remember amous is coming in from the west coast, Cbaggs and family is New York area.

I saw Georgia and Indiana as well.

So what other locations do we have represented?

The West Coast is respresented -- we're from Southern California! We've already packed the warm SoCal sunshine for gauranteed beautiful weather in June! Pack your shades and suntan lotion!




Kari ~ the dolphins are in Cozumel. We are really thinking about doing that, as well as the mini-golf. Kayaking in Key West sounds good too. Deb ~ am I correct in that you're family was thinking about the KW kayak trip?

We certainly are thinking about the kayaking. When we were first looking at we couldn't find much on this. Shirly did some checking on one of her trips to KW and the results were disappointing. Then DisneyDarwin posted a trip report specifically noting they went by boat to a wild life refuge and kayaked there.

Did some further checking and verified that the group Shirley had checked with is NOT the group DCL uses. So that is still on our list. Something you're thinking about?

Yes, we are actually NATIVE Floridians, who will be joining everyone on the Magic June 21st. I look for this thread everyday so I can check out ya'lls trip counter to find out how many days we have. Excited that we have made it under the 100 day mark!!!

We are considering doing the stingray city excursion, but dh doesnt think our ds (12) will do it. His nickname is "chicken nugget". I think he will be fine, but he rarely goes into the ocean past his ankles, has become pretty good at skim boarding. Our other thought is for the jeep tour but I'm not sure I want to take up all the travel time. Hmmm, guess we still have time to debate this at the Nail house.

Anyways, I am really getting antsy to sail and thinking about wardrobe and all. Luckily my dh's sportscoat fits ds (17) and he thinks it will be okay. Still have to spring for dh a new suit. Oh well...I guess I'm babbling. So see ya

Deb ~ thanks for the info regarding the kayaking in Key West. Great info! We'll most likely sign up for that. I really, really want to find Jimmy Buffet's restaurant (okay, I'm a Parrothead!) and definately enjoy a 'cheeseburger in paradise'.

Will keep you posted on the decisions made here! This weekend is our big high school musical and Andrew is on tech crew. In fact I have to leave in just a couple of minutes to man the ticket window! Next weekend we are supposed to sit down and discuss our ideas!

Unless there was pretty credible evidence that cruise ships were a target I doubt it, and they would make a pretty tough target. No way with all the security someone is coming on board with enough anything to do any damage.

Ok, so 90 days (basically) from today we will be boarding the Magic. And just because I needed to do something positive in response to what is going on in the world I called DCL and made our final payment!

Ok, technically I still have to pay for it when the credit card bill comes! but as far as DCL is concerned we are paid in full. Just a little while now until we can start booking excursions! Keep us posted on when you get that paperwork everyone. I'm a little concerned that if the excursion information comes with the rest of the docs we might not get it prior to 60 days....hmm, maybe I'll post that question as a new thread.

Andrew mentioned getting an email from Ryan but when I asked he said he hadn't received anything from you. I know how some emails don't work together very well. You could always send it to me with "for Andrew" in the title and I can forward it to him...
