Anyone rented dvc points?

How secure is it, we just need one night?

I have rented 2 night from someone on another site

Paid half upfront & got e-mail booking confirmation & Disney screen print download a couple of days later.

The person I booked it through has also helped me book the dining plan as an add on too.

I checked their user profile & how often they post & also paid by cheque (as only DH has paypal account & it was a surprise & I didn't want to open my own one ) - not intentionally but then I also had their home address.

Would do it again no problem.

I know many people (family & friends) who have rented points & whether it's secure or not depends on who/where you're renting from.

I did it through the above site but it does require minimum amount of points be rented as I remember. You may find it difficult to get a member to rent to you privately for one night as well though.

Renting DVC points is a private transaction between you and the member.

You will not be able to access or modify the booking - only the member can.

It is not risk free but based on trust of the two parties.
