Sounds about right! Thanks, Erika. The $87 does include all taxes and fees. The 'base' rate is $5.99.

Years ago Sirius claimed CD quality. We now get 8 track quality. After the merger with XM quantity of stations becameb all that mattered.JMO Sports and Howard Stern are the main reason for XM. Services like Spotify offer superior sound quality.I've always had a bad experience with the sound quality of satellite radio. It always sounds really tinny and highly compressed, like it's being streamed over an old 28.8 baud modem connection!
That’s because they are cheaping out and saving bandwidth. Sirius cried and cried they needed to merge to stay afloat. Yet Sirius still pays Stern $100,000,000 a year to basically work about 6 months. Hey I can easily find a way to save you money. Like $100,000,000 a year. The quality of sound with Sirius is less than what XM was.I've always had a bad experience with the sound quality of satellite radio. Great rate. Is that 'all in', base plus taxes and fees, especially the US Music Royalty fee, about 21%?just got an offer in the mail for $99 for 3 years.
Did a search, came up with this from Slickdeals. I put in my info, deal not available because I have active account. So, I may let it lapse, call to cancel. See where it goes.Just ran across this thread and figured I would share…. I have not subscribed for a few years but just got an offer in the mail for $99 for 3 years. I’m wondering if they may not be doing well with less people using the service and not commuting / driving as much. FYI those offers are out there for anyone looking to negotiate! May be a new rock bottom price for them.
all fees included, or before fees?Just renewed my mom for $36 for 6 months. Probably could have done better, but this was offered without having to actually speak with a human. Very easy to say yes to.
I think with fees it was like $40, but we had a small credit.all fees included, or before fees?
This is my renewal, $5.99 month ($71.88) plus Music Royalty fee 21.4% ($15.39, total $87.27.Their latest rate is $5.99 a month plus taxes and fees for 12 months for their news and sports and music package. That's not a bad deal, you can get the music only for $4.99 a month or $8.99 a month gives you all in with the play-by-play sports, Howard Stern and all the rest.
Yes! This was my price too when I renewed just a few minutes ago. This is my renewal, $5.99 month ($71.88) plus Music Royalty fee 21.4% ($15.39, total $87.27.
I think they may putting their best foot forward for renewals so they don't have to deal with people calling. I'm used to calling every year. Years back it was a cat and mouse game, going back and forth. Then for the past few years, I just said I want to renew my current rate and they said, yes. Now, maybe with pandemic induced employee shortages, they are just sending out their best deal renewals hoping to hold on to the accounts without interaction.Yes! This was my price too when I renewed just a few minutes ago.
Call the cancellation number, 888 601-6302, tell them the above pricing and to give it to you. Tell them you will renew for that price. Be firm and short, to the point. They certainly didn't send ME their best deal renewals. My bill for next year is over $250 USD.
for the "Music & Entertainment Plan"
Here's hoping I can get that down to something reasonable.
