Anyone remember this movie's name?? Help

There was a movie in the 80's about a young boy who's parents were seperating and the father took him to Disneyland, while there he burnt him at the hotel (true story) I think his name was David.... Fiance was trying to think of the movie's name... I want to say it was something like "my name is David" but we can't find that online anywhere...

I remember the story and the movie, it was a made for TV movie.

I deffiently remember this movie, in fact it was on tv again a few years ago (probably Lifetime).

I remember the true story when it happened - it was local. Horrible. Can't remember the name of the movie, though. That kid was amazing for not only surviving, but thriving. What a hideous thing to do to anyone, but especially your own child.
