Anyone remember EPCOT parade??

was EPCOT's parade any good? Why did they stop showing it?? What was it about?? I thought the name was Tapestry of Nations or something along those liness.....

You're right, it was Tapestry of Nations, then they renamed it Tapestry of Dreams with some different music. I don't know why they got rid of it, I thought it was the best WDW parade I'd ever seen.

We loved it also! We saw it when it was called Tapestry of Dreams. We loved it so much we bought the music. The kids love to turn it on and dance around to the music! We miss it alot and were surprised to see it go.

never got to see that parade in person. sure wish we could of. the music was/is so moving and it was such a colorful parade. shame. I wish they did't end it.

A while back there was a thread on the Tapestry parades, which I absolutely thought were so beautiful. It was revealed in some of the posts that quite a few of the CM puppet carriers suffered from persistant back problems due to the high center of gravity of the puppets. It will be very hard for someone that doesn't have back problems to understand how this feels, but being a back pain sufferer myself, I guarantee that this would be rough on someone.

I do miss the parade though and I liked Nations better than Dreams.

We saw this parade both as Tapestry of Nations when it first started and then when it became Tapestry of Dreams. We noticed on a few occasions that it was cancelled because of "wind" problems. A CM told us that even low winds were enough to make those puppets too hard to control because they were so big and heavy to start with.

We do have the music CD and it remains our family's favorite!

WOW! it seems that parade was a big hit at EPCOT....hopefully they will bring it back in a couple of years but I can see why they would cancel it due to wind issues..

We saw this only once, on our first trip. It was a beautiful parade and I loved the music ~ I wish they would bring it back!
