Anyone recently rented a Luxury car from Alamo

Trying to decide whether to try Alamo for a change, and am interested in the fact that I have heard you can pick your car, and not just be given something, but just wondering what people have had recently.

The luxury option on the site is the new Cadillac DTS, which looks quite nice, but, no better than a Chrysler 300, which we normally have when booking through Dollar.

Any experiences would be welcome on both the type of car, and, whether being able to pick your car is as good as it sounds!

Not sure on the Luxury options but yes we picked our car with Alamo at MCO this year. Also we hard a turn light out and we took it back with no hassle. Rebooked via Alamo this year.

We're using Alamo at MCO on Monday, we used them in last year but that was from Sanford...booked a full size this time, but don't know what we'll end up if DH gets to the desk first

Sorry I know nothing about luxury cars but I booked a 7-seater van with Alamo last month, and I was told to choose from all the 7-seater vans they had - the keys were in them all. I know absolutely nothing about cars (and DH wasn't with me this trip), but even I couldn't resist checking out a few of them; not great at the end of a long tiring day, but only myself to blame. It was a bit like choosing a parking spot in an empty car park - takes me ages; just one space and I'm fine

We are hiring a 4 x 4 in February from Alamo.

We have used Alamo before in LA and it was a case that they just allow you to pick which ever one you like as the keys are in the cars.

With Disney we like to try and pick a car which is a colour that not everyone will have - so we can find the car in the car park when we get out!

we've used alamo for a few years now..
last year we rented a luxury car (cadillac)....
this year we took a mini-van.....i can't remember which one we picked in the end....maybe the chryler van but they had many different makes...
we picked the one that had the most luggage room...

it's great being able to run down the aisle of cars and pick the one that suits you best....

as for the cadillac, i actually got in each one and turned them on to see which one had the lowest mileage and that's the one we took....

We booked a full size, I think it was a Chevvy Malibu. Nice car.
