Anyone postponing a September trip???

We are due to leave Sat. With Ivan being a 5, I'm worried, very worried for everyone in it's path.

We live in Port Saint Lucie where some of the severe damage from Frances occured. DH and I had planned on an "alone" weekend at the AKL with the Keys to the Kingdome Tour on Sunday. We were really looking forward to this weekend, but with all of the damage here and the fact that my mother and sister were planning on flying down from Georgia to watch dd...it is not going to happen. I rescheduled for October. Let's just hope that Ivan goes a little more to the west and avoids Florida!

Well, DH and I just rescheduled for the second time - his parents who were supposed to go with us in March and then this month canceled all together. They are thnking about going with their other daughter and kids and March but we rescheduled for 12 nights in January!!!

Besides being a Disney World fanatic, I also am now a hurricane survivor! After going through Frances - I would never, never, never head anywhere near a hurricane, it's not worth it, even for Disney World! We lost power for 5 days and were stuck in our house because the access road to my neighborhood was (and still is) flooded. We finally got a temporary road put in (right through someone's yard) so at least now we can get to work, etc. So many roads were flooded that you could hardly get to anything anyway. It was awful! And we only had tropical storm winds!
