Hi, We are planning on playing a round of mini golf at Disney this year. Has anyone been to Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland? Which do you prefer and why? Thank you for any info!

Love Fantasia gardens...the course was entertaining.......plus the course is on the harder side (at least for me)
Also the effects are better then winter summerland (with the singing holes and water)

Do you have a car? Getting there seems to be the hardest part.

how do you get to either one using disney transportation?

is it a bus to the waterpark(s)?

I've only been to Fantasia Gardens but really enjoyed the theming. I thought it was a rather challenging course for the seven year old that was with our group (and for some of the adults). But we all still had a blast!

As far as transportation goes, our hotel situation required us to take a bus from our resort to one of the parks, and then a boat over the the Swan/Dolphin hotels. Fantasia Gardens is just a short walk from there.

From what I understand, the Winter Summerland course is very close to Blizzard Beach, so you'd have to take a bus from your resort to that waterpark.

Yes, every time we go we play mini golf.I've read that summerland/winterland is a course for the younger kids, while fantasia is for older kids. We perfer summerland/winterland.Go have fun!

I did Fantasia Gardens with my DS last trip. He really enjoyed it and the Fantasia Garden theaming was good. We also enjoyed the fact that very few people were playing. That was one place with no lines...

We did Winter/Summerland (both sides) on our last trip and had a lot of fun :thumbsup2 It was especially well themed considering we went there right before xmas :) My son is 8 and this course seemed well suited for his age/ability.

Next trip we'll try and go to Fantasia Gardens to check it out. Mini-golfing was definitely a nice diversion and something different

I personally LOVE Fantasia Gardens. The theming is great and it's just so much fun! I love the hole where the brooms are dumping water and get to the other side you have to run under them (you don't get wet though). My vote would be for Fantasia Gardens! Have fun golfing!!! :thumbsup2

I understand that you get one pass per room ressie for mini golf with the 2007 packages. How much is it per person for the rest of our group? Thanks :)

I believe the cost was around $10 per person when we went in August. We tried Fantasia for the first time and really liked the course. I believe you can call and get a tee time which we will do next time because we had to wait about an hour.

Transportation was the biggest problem since we didn't have a car this trip. We took a bus to MGM and then the boat to the Swan. It was a short walk from the dock but getting home was more of a problem since we went in the evening. By the time we were done the parks were closed so we were planning on taking a bus to DTD and then back to our hotel from there. Not fast but still doable. We couldn't seem to get a bus from the Dolphin so we ended up walking to another resort where I just got a taxi (couldn't find anyone to get us a taxi at the Dolphin). Taxi was well worth the $10 back to Pop.

We want to try winterland/summerland this trip.

I believe the cost is $10.75/adult and $8.50/child. Do make note that if you play another round on the same day, the 2nd round is half price. We ended up taking advantage of that by playing the Winterland course first and then playing Summerland for half price :)

I've played the Fantasia course and it was a lot of fun. We went at night so it was all lit up and looked cool.

We had a car and drove out to it, so it was easy, but for the next trip we probably won't have a car so it'll be interesting to see how easy it is to get there.
