I'm excited to head to VWL at the end of this month but I'm already thinking about a cruise and BLT for next year. Anyone else out there way too into planning?

My DH just doesn't understand me.

My DW is really into planning. We got the resort booked and bought the flights for our 2009 July trip before we left for our last Christmas trip.

We usually have our next trip booked as well

We don't go back until June this year but I'm already planning for our March and Summer trips in 2010. I never get tired of running through all the possibilities.

Sure, I do this all the time. Right now we already have 3 trips booked and I've got 5 others on my calendar (just look at my sig). The next step is to decide if we're going to fly or drive. This decision usually comes about 2-3 months out, depending if SWA has any really cheap rates. If we drive, i always get us a cash ressie for the night before using any discounts (like AP, codes, etc.). If nothing available, I just book us a Value room or we stay at the Hampton Inn at St. Augustine. As far as more detailed planning (like ADR's, etc.), I'm usually just doing one at a time, usually beginning about a month or so out. The packing list is the last thing to be done and I do that about 1-2 weeks out. DW, DD and DS love to make fun of my planning; but I notice they sure enjoy going on the trips when that time comes.

We are always thinking ahead. We are considering doing a 4 night on the Wonder next year w/a stay before or after either at Vero, WDW or HH. Have done 4 on the Magic. We did not do Castaway Cay for our last two and I miss it and look forward to going.

We will try to squeeze something in early in the year also. We know we also want to be on one of the new ships too when they are ready.

have March, May, Sept, Nov and maybe Dec.

for Nov and Dec will definitely do a little BLT - both offsite.

Your question suggests that we only go once a year. In our case, we go a minimum of 4 times a year. We practically always have our next trip reserved, and more likely the next 3.

Or were you asking about planning as in daily schedules? Sorry, I can't answer that since we seldom do that kind of plan any more. We've been often enough that we pretty much go with the flow. About all we do now is to plan a nice dinner one or two nights during the stay.

Our trip for this year isn't until the middle of August :sad1: and I'm already starting to gather info for a 4 night cruise/3 night DVC in the fall of 2010. We'll probably stick to trips once per year so I usually book 11 months out and start planning from there. :goodvibes

Hi Anna!!!!! How are you?

We also plan way ahead. I was just checking out an adventues by Disney for 2011!

Our first '09 DVC trip is in March...but in just a few weeks, we'll be booking our Marathon weekend 2010 trip:goodvibes

It's not only DVC...we're planning a party for Memorial weekend 2010 in Cape May for family...have to send out those "save the date" cards!!!

Bobbi:goodvibes

I have to have at least one more DVC trip planned, before this next one ends, or it would be too sad. Right now, I've got 3 reserved-May at OKW, October at BCV, and November at HHI. I'm sure that by the time HHI rolls around, I'll have another one planned, and probably reserved. It would seem wrong to leave DVC without knowing when I'll be back.

Absolutely! We have a trip coming up next week, then we have to use holding points for one in April or May depending upon availabilty. We've already booked Nov. 29-Dec. 8 and as soon as I'm able I'm going to book for next Jan. - Feb.

I would feel like something was wrong if we didn't have another trip or two in the works. Sure beats going once every two years like we did when we were working. Gotta love retirement!

OT: When can we start booking BLT? I want to add two nights onto our December trip.

Ah, my peeps!!! I love my peeps!!! It is only here that I can detail our Disney trips for the next few years and know that I am understood and accepted for my insanity. :-)

We leave Saturday, and it is killing me that I can't book our June 2010 trip until July. Torture!!!! 2011 and 2012 are also scheduled on the calendar!!! Although the possibilities are so endless that I keep changing my mind!!!

Bring on the planners!!!

That's one of the reasons I knew DVC would be a good fit for me - I always plan way ahead! I had our August trip (which I had to change due to buying DVC) booked a week after we got back from last August's trip.

Now I just need to decide if I'm brave enough to go over Christmas this year or not. I have our dates for March and August 2010 planned out too! :)

I am also a far out planner! I just love the planning process!

DH and I will be going in June, which we booked at 11 months. BUT I've also been doing alot of planning for October 2010 for my "girls only" Disney trip. :cool1: Alot of the advance planning is to be able to better manage the points.

We are also planning on a BIG trip in 2012 in a Grand Villa at our home resort (AKV). To do it, we need to use almost three years of points, so obviously we are planning far ahead. My nieces will be 7 and 4 that year, and I know they will LOVE looking out at all the animals. CAN'T WAIT!

I have planned another trip in June 2009 already and haven't even gone on our Feb. 2009 trip. I am thinking either Dec or Feb 2010. I think sometimes I love the planning more than the actual trip - not really. But I really love the planning. I have a very stressful job (thank god I have a job) and I need something to look forward to and plan.

pixiedust:

We have plans laid out for Jan. 2010 and Sept. 2011 before taking our trip to SSR this June...oh did I mention Hawaii in 2012 for our 15th anniversary!

I'm a planning nut..!!!! :lmao: :cheer2: princess: ;)
