Anyone plan on seeing this one?

I saw the previews for this and knew what it was about in the first 5 seconds. I didn't like Alien or Predator. I don't like "jump out and gitcha" movies, anyway, but this one looks particularly stupid, IMO. Sigourney Weaver wasn't in the previews, so I guess she wouldn't touch it...

It looks like your typical B movie, but I still want to see it for some odd reason!

Sort of related......

I joined tourguidemike for help planning our Christmas trip to the World and had my computer on the main page of his site. My 2 boys walked into the room and saw the screen that showed my "AVP" (which in mike lingo is Automated Vacation Planner) and they got very excited thinking I was looking at the Alien vs Predator movie site. They are 8 and 11 and actually thought I might take them to that movie???? LOL! I told them to keep wishing.

While I love Aliens (the first one) I would never see the rest. They just don't hold the appeal for me once I knew what was coming.

My dh said at the c-section delivery of our first child, "Oh honey, it's just like in Aliens - here he comes!" That's one I won't likely forget.

Now that's a good line.

On the original question, I really enjoyed the first three movies. They were smart movies, that didn't simply rely on jumping out and scaring you. It's too bad that they had to put out something as dumb sounding as Alien v. Predator.

Can't be any worse than Freddy vs. Jason!

DS12 really really wants to see this one
Im hoping DH takes him

Yes, we will be there opening night. My husband is really excited about it, he loves Predator. (I'm rooting for Alien, don't tell him;)

Oh, you mean it's a movie? I thought you were referring to the Presidential Election.

DH wants to see it, but I really have no desire. Those types of movies scare me. The movie Signs freaked me out - I slept with the lights on for two nights!!!

And yet, I am going to see the Village this weekend - I have not yet learned my lesson

I'll see it with DBF,we both think it sounds cheesy but a fun cheesy(we actually liked Freddy vs Jason and we rooted for Freddy to win)
