I have a black labrador retriever, Madison Isabella (but we call her Madison or Maddie) - she is 4 years old and I love her to death!!

I may be bias but I think she is a very smart dog. She thinks she is a person.

Any other labrador owners out there????

I do not yet have a digital camera or a scanner so I don't have any pics that I can put up of her but my b-day is coming up so I am asking for a digital and will put up pics once I have access to do so!!

Calling all labrador owners - are you out there???

I have a very sweet 13 year old Lab. She is wonderful, and very very good. We just got her last year , and we love her to death!

We have lived with Lewie the Labrador for the last almost 8 years. He is a wonderfully even tempered fellow -- we got him when our youngest was only 1, and he has put up with so much kid rough-housing and has been extremely patient!!

He was easy to train, and is a loyal companion.

His only faults are that he is too friendly to be any good as a watchdog, and he sheds constantly.

We have a beautiful 5 yo black lab. She is moving to Ohio with my daughter soon and I am going to miss her. Funny thing is that my daughter said theis morning that maybe she should stay with me because she alerts me to people knocking on the door and to noises outside that I don't hear anymore.
Really smart dog and sweet as she can be.

Love my Lab! Harley is 15 mos old and is still a puppry at heart! He ia about 110lbs and we just love him to death. They are such smart dogs!

Yep, we have a soon to be 6 year old black lab named Ellie. She has her moments like all dogs do, but she's a very loving dog. She just hasn't calmed down yet like we had hoped she would - she's still a wild woman! :) lol

calm down?? never. our vet told us around 3 she should start to calm down - nope. hasn't happened. 3 came and went. she acts like a puppy all the time and could swim all day/night if she had to !! loves the water.

Madison has also put up with a lot from my dd. she paints Madison's nails, she puts pretty stickers on her head and Madison loves to smell pretty so she gets to wear kid sprays on her fur sometimes. she really is the best dog and I would do anything for her. She is coming on vacation with us to Maine tomorrow and when we do disney in April, I am hating leaving her but will have someone stay with her at our house instead of kenneling her. she is the biggest love and I am glad I met some fellow labrador owners!!!

We have TWO! They turned two years old in April. They each weigh 90-100 lbs. One is a lap dog..... big baby... wants someone petting him all the time. The other is a fighter. He has to be wrestling/tugging/chasing or he is not happy. He has been known to head but you and hit you with toys.

Hard to believe they are brothers from the same litter! Neither has destroyed anything EVER in the house. No accidents either! They are indoor/outdoor dogs and we love them both!

His only faults are that he is too friendly to be any good as a watchdog, and he sheds constantly

That describes our "Blue" to a T! Someone (a complete stranger to him - we knew he was coming) came into our house when we weren't home, took a big item, a treadmill, out and the only response from the dog was a ball dropped at his feet. Almost like, "Can I help you bring anything else out of my house". So sweet, but useless watchdog.

On the other hand, I can't tell you how many dog haters he's converted! Big, goofy guy but SOOO smart.

Today's Blue's Birthday - he's 6! :bday:

Yes, Cody is a slightly useless watch dog as well. She is content to lay in her shrubs outside. The poodle makes enough racket for both of them though..

Here is a pic of our "baby" Ariel. She is 8 years old. If only she would quit barking at every car or person that goes by the fence, she'd be perfect. ;)

Here is my 2 year old lab mix, Jessie. She can count as well as do other tricks. Jessie likes to sleep in. She is very protective of me yet she likes kids. She was very patient with our then 3 year old niece who loved to scream in poor Jessie's ears.:sunny:

I have posted pics many times.

Ollie is the black lab/greyhound mix and Rebel is the brindle lab/? mix. This pic is when Rebel was about 4 months old (about a year ago):

Oh man, I wish I still had my guy's picture on the web, I am so proud of him! My Lab's name is Jacob Marley, named after the Dickens character in "A Christmas Carrol". And as that character was to Ebenezer Scrooge, so is my guy to me, " ... a partner in life." I got him when he was 8 weeks and 3 days old, but I picked him out, (or maybe I should say we picked each other out) of a litter of 4 yellow, six black, two weeks earlier. I love him so much! :p And like you, I would do anything for him. He makes me laugh, he makes me calm, and he makes me feel loved. I can see love and sense love when he looks up at me with those huge brown eyes, or when he lays his head on my lap when we sit on the sofa together. He is just the coolest dog! He'll be 7 in October. His muzzle is turning white now, but that's the only sign of age he's showing. :) Otherwise he's a loving ball of energy who tolerates everyone and everything, and makes the best out of the little things in life like butterflies and pizza. He loves to admire himself in the mirror and when caught, acts all shy about it. :p He loves to sniff flowers and breezes. He even tolerates that one cat that stands on him and does that kneeding thing then rolls all over him!!!!!

Umm, I'll stop now. :o :p But I have to say once more, I just love him! :) :)

We have a yellow named "Gretzky" (go figure) who has lived almost his entire life with a ball or toy hanging out of his mouth, forever hopeful someone will throw it for him.

Our lab will be 3 months old on the 9th... we love our baby Koda "bear" to death. He is a nipper though and VERY active, but a sweetie. Our older dog Booda who is 18 months calmed down ALOT when we got Koda, now Booda (St. Bernard/Setter Mix) who use to have accidents/tear things up/jump,etc sits and sleeps inside through the night now, no bitting, no chewing, nothing...

all of your babies are beautiful!!! you must be very proud of them all as I am of mine.

just gotta get a picture up so I can show you!!!

We have a 1-1/2 year old black lab, and there are some days I'd like to choke him! He chews up everything, doesn't listen to me at all, but he's a little (?) angel when DH is around!

We are working with him, and he's getting a little better. My kids love him, and he loves them. He's sweet and gentle, wouldn't hurt a flea!

We have a 13 Year Old Lab named Sadie. We have always had labs but are making a gradual transition to smaller dogs. Sadie is an unusual lab. She is a Chocolate. She is afraid of water.....and just about everything else. She is 70+ pounds, but is at the mercy of a 9 pound 18 month old Bichon. She is a very sweet dog though....more of an Eeyore really.

We just got one 3 weeks ago tomorrow-a black lab puppy born 4/5. Her name is Jasmine and she is the cutest thing..but she's driving me NUTS with all the biting/teething. When does it end?
I have to say if I knew the teething would be this bad I don't know if I would have gotten her-but I do love her and DH and the kids are crazy for her, so she stays. LOL
Let's see if this works:
