Anyone own a Labrador Retriever??

We have an almost 3 year old Black Lab named Bear. He is quite the character and we adore him. He is a great watchdog (I know how weird right?) and when my DH is out at a call, he barks at everyone who dares to pass our house, yet when DH is home he doesn't even notice them. He is very protective of my DS and I when we're alone at home. It is the strangest thing as they are not known to be great watchdogs. We are having a real problem with allergies and are trying to find the right food for him right now. He is on allergy meds am and pm and we put cream on him as well. They are prone to allergies as I'm sure some of you know. Still I couldn't imagine life without him!!

I think I have a black lab...lol, or at least a mix. Abby was a shelter/rescue puppy, and is now living with us in her forever home. She's approximately 9 months old, and is as hyper as the day is long! She loves to nip, stick her nose where it doesn't belong when she's following us and jump up. I've been through obedience training w/another dog, so know the ropes, but Abby has her own ropes that she follows. lol She's as smart as a button except for one thing...she poos in the house!! She'll ask to go out & do potty (pee), and will poo if she has to while she's out there, but otherwise we'll find a pile in the living room! We've had her since March & it's getting quite old! But we love her anyway...she's a keeper.

Dakota James a 2 year old 100 lb Black Lab

Zeus Anthony a 14 month old Chocolate Lab 80 lbs

and Titan Andrew (zeus's brother) who is 70 lbs

My Mom and dad have Noah Fransis he is almost 3 a black lab and 97 lbs

My brother has Tike a yellow lab 105 lbs 18mo
Ruger a black 85lbs almost 3 (Noah's brother)
caliber a black 65 lbs ( 15 months)

my cousin has Addy who is a HUGE choc lab at 115lbs

my uncle has Shadow a 5 year old black lab about 65 lbs

and my other cousin has Bailey yellow lab who is 4 and 60 lbs

Imagine my parents house when we all show up
there are more kids than labs but just barely

We actually got a street sign at mom's that says LABS CROSSING
so they can cross safe from yard to lake

We have a 7 yr old black lab mix.

She's the most loving dog, thinks everyone is her friend!

She weighs around 75 pounds and thinks she's a lap dog. She refuses to sleep on the floor.

She's very smart! And is a BIG baby. She hates to get dirty and hates water!

We love her!

oh, ours won't sleep on the floor either!! it is so hard sharing a bed with my dbf who is 6'3", and Madison who is a svelte 60 lbs. there is no room to sleep!! next purchase is a king size bed, maybe then there will be more room!!

ROFL! You sound like us, except add a 3 yr old in our queen bed on top of us and the dog!

Our next furniture purchase is a king size bed too!
