Anyone order the Women's Swimsuits from the Disney Catalog?

I'm so dissapointed! I ordered the cute Minnie swimsuit for women (The one that looks like a tank top on the top and a skirt on the bottom) from Disney online because it finally went on sale. $24.99 - Not fantastic, but I'd been watching it, so when I saw it on sale I swooped in and got it! Well, it arrived today, and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO big! I ordered a 16, despite the fact that I usually wear a 14 so the skirt wouldn't be too tight (which is a problem for a different board entirely!
When I tried it on there is at least 8 inches extra in the waist!!! (The top was also very large) Now I usually wear a 14/16 depending on the style, but I have never known Disney sizing to be this far off!! I called them up and there is only size 16 left! I have no way to know if there is only a problem with my 16, or if this is what size all of the 16s are! This would be a great way for a larger sized woman to grab a Disney Store swimsuit, they usually don't make anything larger than a regular 16. Whew, sorry for the vent - I'm just so sad I won't get to wear my Minnie suit at BB this summer!!!

I had a similar problem. I ordered the black suit with the Mickey silhouette at the bottom. The body of the suit is huge but the bra like top is really small. I also ordered 2 suits for my DH both XL one fits and the other falls right to the ground. Hopefully the Pooh suit I bought my DD will fit.

I ordered two princess suites for my DD's - both sizing are fine but my dd's are skinny. I got the black/white mickey suit. I ordered a size smaller after speaking with the cm at length. Disney needs to do better with their sizing. The cm that helped me said they were working on it to make the sizing more uniformed.
Did you return your suit? Maybe you can find one on ebay. They are hard to come by there, but you might get lucky. You could always buy one in downtown disney. You would pay more probably, but it would fit. Having a nice suit that fits is very important to me. I don't buy a new suit every year, so I splurg alittle. I've an idea... what about getting a nice solid colored suit and a disney cover up?

I ordered the same one you did. I normally wear a size 8, but I got the swimsuit in a 10. I found that the bottom was a little tight and the top a little big.

For a while I thought. "Have a gained weight". But when I tried on my other swimsuits I purchased at the store 1 size 8 & 1 size 10, and they fit just fine.

I think you probably got a bad suit, if the sizing is that off.

Personally, I think it's the style of that tankini suit that I didn't care for. The skirted bottom is supposed to fit low not at your waist. I have had three c-sections and the belly is my biggest nightmare to try to lose (trying to hide it in clothes mostly, lol). I ordered the suit in 12, too big, then ordered the 10 and even that was big in the waist but not enough material to "pull up" to my waist if that makes sense. Anyway, I returned both on Thursday so they should have a 12 in a week or so if you want to try again.

I must say I have found Land's End to be the queen of bathing suit fits! Now believe me you will pay for the suits thru them but they have lasted me at least two seasons and some have lasted three.

I ordered the pink Minnie Mouse swimsuit and the black siloutte Mickey too when they were both on sale for $17.49 each(33% off plus the additional 25% sale that they had online). I got all the pink Minnie swimsuit accessories as well can't beat that price when that's more than 50% off.

I normally wear a 16 but I ordered a 14 and a 16 in the pink suit. I agree the 16 was way to big and the 14 was just right. Usually Disney isn't that far off but this time they were. I have noticed though that t-shirts from online are running smaller lately. The black swimsuit in the 16 was way to big in the body and too small in the bust. So I am returning both the size 16 suits.

Sorry it didn't work for you. I've never ordered a bathingsuit or shoes from the catalog, though I've really wanted to, but have been scared. Can you return it and get another size?

Wow! I should have known that this is the place to talk about Disney swimwear! Nice to know it isn't just me - although I would have liked to believe that I lost that much weight! I appreciate all of the info, tips and hints. I'm not completely sunk, the suit was definately a splurge, I do have another suit. I just love Disney suits! I'll hope for the best with the new 16, and call back next week to see if I can score the returned 14! I'm wondering if they resell their returns though, or if they go directly to an outlet like many other catalogs.
