Anyone on the Wonder on May 5, 2005

My neice, Alyssa(9), is dressing up for pirate night. Mom and I will probably be in tropical dresses with our bandanas, eyepatches, and hoop earrings. What is everyone else doing? If there were any men with us, I would definately encourage them to dress as pirates since they will be picking men out of the crowd to recruit as new pirates. It should be fun. I'm just curious about how many pirate captains, first mates, wenches, tavern maids, etc. we have out there? LOL.

Our family is anxiously planning our first cruise 5/5/05 and we are looking to meet some fellow DIS'ers. Someone on a separate board suggested this & it sounds like a great idea to get to know each other!!

We have requested late seating and the following dining rotation - Parrot Cay, Triton's, Animator's Palate (which I understand is a request and not a guarantee).

We have 3 sons - Cameron & Codey (12 (b-day on 5/7) and 10 (b-day 4/18) will be in the Oceaneer Lab, and Conner (a.k.a. CJ 6) will be in the Oceaneer Club.

DH and I are planning on dining at Palo our first evening & then dining together as a family the other 2 nights to celebrate the boys' birthdays.

I'm not sure how to go about a request like this, but was wondering if any DIS families with children of similar ages would be interested in trying to join us for dinner?

Please PM me any info. you'd like to share.

Also, if you have children who would like to "chat" with my older sons prior to the cruise to get to know each other, please let me know & maybe they can IM (we have Messenger and Yahoo).

Cameron (12) - Captain Hook
Codey (10) - Mr. Smee (Codey looked like Mr. Smee's TWIN!!! - Wow, what a pair they were together - Codey can't wait to see Mr. Smee again on the cruise!!)
Conner (6) - Peter Pan
DH, Mel (41) - Captain Jack Sparrow
Myself, Deb (36) - Elizabeth Swann (helped make the dress myself, too!)

Isn't it about time for us to hear something from DCL? We should have a choice of scheduling excursions if we want, right? We are about 60 days out now. Anyone heard anything? I get more excited everyday.

We finally got our plane tickets a couple of days ago. Yesterday, I got Alyssa's pirate costume in the mail. Everything seems to be falling into place. We are so excited. Is everyone else getting ready?

Sure am getting excited here! This vacation finally seems real since I had my first prevacation nightmare.lol. I dreamed that I accidently packed all winter clothes. I figure this dream came about either because of our long, cold, snowy winter or because I always wait until the night before to pack.

Ragdoll, I'm completely the opposite. I always overplan and start packing way ahead of time. I've already been buying things we will need and throwing them in an empty suitcase. lol. My mom is the one that waits until the last minute. I get too excited to wait. I guess I'm just like a little kid.

It's time to plan a DIS meet!

Would be great to meet fellow DISer's. Would anyone care to meet at three o'clock on Thursday in the Promenade Lounge? This time and location seemed to work the best during our other cruises. Any other suggestions?

I have all of my little guys clothes out and waiting....I even bought us matching disney cruise clothes....I can't think of anything else....Disney has officially eaten my brain.....An onboard meet would be cool...I'm in! (Just have to talk the cranky hubby into it ) Ds tells everyone he sees he's going to disney world and then on that big boat. We're a little excited!

I think a Dismeet sounds great. It will be a lot of fun to meet others from the board.

a dis meet sounds good to me. we should be boarding early as possible. will be in wdw that morning and will leave around 10 am. will of course have on my lime green top at least.

Has anyone else received their Docs yet? UPS has our in hand. They wont leave at the apartment, so we are having them delivered to Misti's mom's work. Hopefully we will get then by Friday at least.

No I have not heard anything on travel docs yet but did get the info on excursions and gifts for the room last week. This is all so exciting. I'll have to call my TA and check. I think she had the excursion info for awhile before it was forwarded to me. I asked about it and she said "it's here in your file, didn't you get it?" Makes me want to call and check more often. I can't wait. All week I've said this time next month we'll be on the cruise. lol.

Misti chased down the UPS man today and got our documents. He wouldnt leave them at her apartment with no one home. so we are doing the happy happy banana dance. Not much longer now. less than a month. YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
