Anyone on Jenny Craig?

Had my first weigh in this morning......down 7 pounds!!! :banana: :banana: :banana:

I'm sooooo excited!!! I haven't gone off program one time since I started 4/9/08!! I've NEVER been on a diet that I enjoyed this much!!!

Now.....78 more to go!!!!

Hi all!

I am thinking about starting Jenny Craig soon. I did Nutrisystem once and did well with it but then hit a big bump in the road when my FIL became very ill and I just didn't have time to think about it. I tried it again about a year later, but when I was starting month 3, I just couldn't eat the food anymore. It all tasted the same.

Last night I did the BMI calculator on the Jenny Craig site and I am not happy with the results. I need to do something and I am motivated.

I am going to call the centre today and see if they can see me Monday after work.

I just hope I can stay focused. I want to be healthy again.

Because of the WISH thing starting up here tomorrow, I went ahead and went back to Jenny Craig today -- I had been contemplating it anyway, so now was as good a time as any. So I'll look forward to reading how everyone is doing and learning any tips / techniques and encouragement from my fellow DISers!

Welcome!! This has been a nice spot to come to for a little extra support, advice, etc. There's some nice people here!!

I think I'm back on track....so far so good this week. 5 days on the plan so far.

I tried the mint choc. bar. Yummmmm!!!!

I also loved the self rising crust pizza.

Question about the desserts (cakes): Are you only supposed to have them twice per week? That's what I've always done, but was just wondering....

When I was on NS< I had to stock up on a lot of yogurt, veggies, cheese, fruit, eggs, salad mix etc. Do I have to do the same on JC?

Welcome to this crazy bunch of Jenny Craig fans...

You will need to buy fresh fruits, veggies and dairy items to supplement the JC food. In general, it costs me about $30 - $40 depending on how much fruit I need to buy. I generally buy a bag of salad mix, some peppers, celery and carrots for salad, frozen veggies for dinner time, bananas, berries and apples for fruit and some cottage cheese, cheese sticks or yogurt depending on my mood that week. Throw in some skim milk and you are good to go. It is amazing how quickly I can get in and out of the store by sticking to the outer aisles...

the mint bar is yummy... very rich and decadant... I am glad it is small since I can't imagine eating any more than that... All of their pizzas are generally pretty good as long as you keep them out of the microwave...

As for your question about desserts, I generally eat them every day. I have come to enjoy my evening sweet (triple chocolate cheesecake is the best...) It hasn't hurt me at all - I blame my toying with the same five pounds on my lazy butt and its general lack of exercise.... I am working on that though so I should be good again...

So today is day 1 for me. Just had the French toast. Already 10,000x's better than Nutrisystem. :)

I am just relieved that I had enough room in the freezer. I was worried about that.

I've been having freezer issues since I started. I've ordered 4 weeks and 2 weeks at a time, we have a deep freezer in the garage, and yet both freezers are constantly packed. I hate it! I think I am going to start taking some of the things out of the boxes and just writing the microwave time on it in Sharpie. That might free up some much needed space for me.

So, I went for my first weigh-in today after my first week on Jenny! I'm 7.2pounds lighter!!!!!!! Sooooooooo excited! I just got to walk more than two days a week and we'll be all good! I'm digging into my turkey burger right now... yum-o!

As of this morning, I'm down 17 lbs. since starting on 4/9/08 and this week was even my TOM!!!!!! :banana: :banana: :banana: I might just actually hit that 20 lb. goal for my first month!!!!

Awesome Alicia! I have my second weigh in on tuesday and I'm nervous about my weight. I hope I lost a lot. I didn't walk as much as usual, but I never broke diet... hmmm.
 
Had my first weigh-in yesterday. Down two pounds. I am fixing my scale to keep track myself because it doesn't seem that accurate being weighed in my clothes. It was warmer last week. lol.
 
Can I join??? I've been on Jenny 2 whole days :cool1: Food isn't too bad and so far so good. I'm trying not to think about how much I need to lose and just "live in the moment " right now. I think I need to concentrate on many small goals rather than one big one. So anyway I'm Maureen and I hope we can all get healthy together :goodvibes

Glad you're here Twinglemum!

Tonight started a rough 3 days for me. My parents are in town and taking us out to eat every night as well as lunch on Sunday. I was good though, normally I would clean my plate, but I only ate half. And I skipped desert! :thumbsup2 I'm going to weigh myself in the morning to see if this weekend ruins my week when I have my weigh-in on Monday.
