Anyone NOT going to CA??

I'm sheepishly adding that we will not be going either! I was a huge wisher it would come out this way so it would be convenient for us to cruise on DCL but after this cruise we just got off of I don't plan on doing a cruise on DCL or with the kids again for a L~O~N~G time!

So I'm bowing my head in shame that I made a huge deal and then decided not to go......but I'm glad that there are some who ARE going!

OMG Heidi...What Happened? Is cruising just not for you or did something happen?

Wow this is Quite a list... I dont want to be in the club Cause im going , but I did want to say that if u do a cruise out of NY. Maybe I could go on that one also is that ok MJASP/ Joanna???

P49 the over all Cost of the 14 is a better value than the 7 days by far... we Got a very good fare.... 3k

jrydberg , try a 4 or 3 day cruise if it is the Kid u are try ing to please then the location wont be a big factor as long as they are on the cruiser boat.... Also I can reccomend RCCL......

Peter...You know you and Jenn would be more than welcome to be on a NY cruise with us and wouldn't it be fun to have a thread on the DISboards for a New York Cruise! If the DISboard mods would let us.

Still deciding which cruise is more appealing. The RCCL Voyager to the Western Caribbean OR the Carnival Legend to the Eastern Caribbean Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Tortola. OR the new Carnival Miracle or the Norwegian Dawn to Port Canaveral and the Bahamas. Wow with all these choices it's hard to believe I am flying to Florida in August to go on the Magic. I Like the Voyager but by then will have done 2 Western Cruises. Love the Legend Itinerary but am concerned about the ship. A co worker went on the Legend last week, she comes back to work tomorrow, will let you know what she thinks of it, she is very picky and has sailed on the Wonder already.

OK all lets pick the cruise:Pinkbounc

Since my brother and SIL are going on the summer 2005 cruise too, we're pretty much limited to going on the Voyager because they only cruise Royal Caribbean. I wanted to say that the only port that's the same as DCL's western itinerary is Grand Cayman. Their other ports are Ocho Rios (Jamaica), Grand Bahama Island, and Labadee (or RCI's other private island), in addition to Grand Cayman. Also, I love the idea of 4 at-sea days on this cruise :) That would be awesome though, to get a group cruising for next summer :sunny:

We're not going to be able to go either.

I thought a repo cruise would not be so expensive...but it is...so we'll probably be doing our regular Christmas cruise. It's also hard for both of us to get away from work that long......

Can't wait to read all the trip reports.............

I'm not going either, unless they offer a Florida Resident rate! I go to California every year to visit family, but I'm doing good to afford airfare for four people. It is just to exspensive for my taste!

I'll only be going to CA when Purdue goes to their next Rose Bowl...and at the rate they do that, DCL will have a new ship for so. Cal by that time.

Boiler up!

The woman I work with came back today after going on the Carnival Legend last week out of NY and believe it or not she absolutely LOVED it. She said the food was incredible the kids clubs were great. She fell in love with Tortola (not enough time spent there). She was not seasick at all and didn't take any medications, she thought the seas would be rough out of NY.

She said the ship itself was beautiful and only had great things to say about it.

So who needs CA. we have NY LOL

Yeah, sounds good! Just the NO airfare part is enough to convince me!!! Wohoo, we're off! We can make door signs...

The first Dis-NON-Disney, no airfare NY cruise! YIPPEE!!:D

I'm not! I'm not!

We are going on our first cruise
this November... on the Wonder...
so, we need to make sure we
like it and all first...

if DCL makes it a permanent thing
in the future and decides to go to
Alaska then maybe... but we've
seen enough of Mexico in past travels!

Plus we won't quite have the money
saved in time with our cruise in Nov.
and trying to buy a house next year
too!

We are not going. We don't like Mexico, been there, done that. And certainly not in the summer months.
AND NO CASTAWAY CAY.

Definitely NOT in the FL to CA or CA or CA to FL crowd and starting to feel a little overwhelmed (and obviously jealous) regarding the hostile takeover (by those who ARE in that club) that has seemed to happen on this board.;)
