I would lean towards at minimum 3 contracts, 150, 100, 50. But TBH I would probably do 150, 50, 50, 50. I personally like to have flexibility and you only get 1 shot at this. The 150 contract secures your blue card status and you’re most likely to keep it. Having the other smaller ones gives you an easy off ramp if you find yourself wanting to pickup another resort down the road, or if for some ungodly reason you find yourself with too many points lol.
I agree with this unless someone is going the fixed week route.

It’s so easy to sell if a 50 point contract if needed.

If have the funds and ā€˜green light’ for 300…that’s your answer!!
If go BIG..split it at least once.
Sure. 150 locks in extras. Two of them, you will have two that qualify if dump one. (Large point contracts are just a pain to sell in an emergency). Eat the extra closing. Worth it. (Yes, I’d do 150/150 getting all the same incentives as 300).
Yes to all of the above.!!

If you’re going during a difficult booking week, definitely price out a favorite week!
Definitely look into that!!

I didn’t think you could split into 4? (Isn’t 3 the limit?)

Sooo..here we are again friends! I’m at Poly ..thinking of meeting with my guide..should I go for the direct, yes or no?? Exactly how many direct points exactly do you all suppose I need šŸ¤Ŗāš”ļø?? My husband says 300, I say 150. What to do 🧐

If you decide to go direct, suggest you meet your guide and lock down the incentives this cycle before they expire (is it Feb 10?), then wait to see how it looks next cycle and close on the better/cheaper deal. Straddling the fence between cycles gives you options, and it will not cost you anything either - I just did this last cycle when I bought 200 direct at Poly and ended up closing on the previous cycle's incentives. They took my credit card info, but did not charge me anything (not even a deposit) until I actually signed documents.
