Anyone NOT going to CA??

:( No California cruise here either. I am hoping to go to DL for the 50th anniversary celebration but I'll have to see how things are around here. With the price of the cruise going sky high on the first day I don't think that I will be on the Magic for some time.:smooth:

I thought about doing the repo cruise to California but I couldn't be on a ship for 14 days and not have a veranndah and it was way too much $$ then I want to spend.

I think we're going to go to Disneyland maybe next year but no cruise involved.

Our first cruise will be this September on the Wonder!:boat:

Perhaps all honorary members of the "Not going to CA club" should book a cruise on less expensive line for summer 05 & bring all of our disney stuff & make it FEEL like a Disney cruise :)--- Just a thought- hey at least we're not alone!

Add me also. I am doing a NY cruise next year!!!!!No Airfare:Pinkbounc

Princess 49...Check out what I wrote in an earlier post. Lets get it going. Sea Spray also said she was doing NY 2005.

the repo cruise might have been fun but as i have traveled to mexico and ca i have no interest in going. plus the plane fare would substantially increase the cost of the cruise. now that i think of it we would still have to fly back after the repo cruise.

i'm going to lobby for a european itinerary. it's time to see new sights but i'd rather do it with disney.

We've were planing a 2 week vacation: 1 week in DW and 1 week on DCL Magic for 2005. All that anticipation is out the window. Major Disapointment! Now thinking about a Princess cruise

i am not going.what i am going to do in ca?i live in fl and love it.i would do back to back cruise eastern and western in sept.

We would have loved to have done one of the repo cruises, but we can't plan that far out right now nor can we spend that kind of money. Our only hope will be to see what happens around the 60 day point and whether or not they open up any discounts for CMs at that time. Otherwise, we'll be living vicariously through everyone else's trip reports! :fish:

We live in California and seriously thought about doing the West Coast cruise. After pricing the cruise we decided to skip it. Instead, we will be heading to Florida to do the 3 day Wonder cruise on June 2, 2005, followed by 12 days at BWV using our DVC points. We will be able to pay for airfare, the 3 day cruise, and our 4 PAP's which we can use for that trip and the trip the following year, and some of our meals for the price of the 7 day Mexico cruise on June 5th that I priced. I'm sure the Mexico cruisers will have a great time. I guess we're going to miss the boat....pun intended :D

We have done 4 7 day cruises and although we are not doing one this year, we thought next year we'd do the repositioning cruise. After obtaining a price quote on my own( never got mine from DU) and pricing approximate airfareto CA and back from FL, hotel stay before in CA and afterin FL, it was way more than I wanted to spend. Now if it was repositoningtself to NY or NJ that wouldbe a different story. This would wind up being at least a three week vacation. Now we are thinking of doig another cruise line.

Nope. Us neither. Thinking maybe Alaska or Hawaii in summer of 2005.

I love the idea of not having to fly for our cruise next summer (2005). :)

Add us to the "Not going to CA" club!
Call me a wimp, but 14 days is too long for me to be gone from home!! My baby, a 13-yr-old dog, would miss us so! When we were on our first cruise ever, a 7 night Eastern just two weeks ago!, we decided that every other year will work for us for cruising. I loved every, well almost, minute of the trip and it was wonderful. A little time in between gives Disney time to change things up a bit, new places to stop, etc.

For all those going, I sure hope we'll be getting first hand reports!

ok, calling all north-easterners for a NY NON AIRFARE cruise!!!! :) Sounds good to me!

BY THE WAY..... I'd like to point out that after my FIASCO last week with the thread that got my head handed to me, (don't ask:rolleyes: )I have started a positive thread that lots of people have posted on & NO ONE IS FIGHTING!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!:jumping1:

I always wanted to be the one who started those threads that are pages long! Yippee!!!:teeth:

OK Princess...Put me down for the NY cruise:Pinkbounc

What thread did you start that started trouble?

I am glad we are not alone. I actually started to feel a bit sad, as most of the newest posts are dealing exclusively with the repositioning cruise or the west coast cruises. I thought for a minute that we were the only ones on the boards that hadn't booked those!

Frankly, I'm a bit peeved about the whole California thing. While I understand DCL wants to sorta test the waters out there, they're doing it on my time. Just got back from the May 1st-8th Magic cruise and had a fantastic time. But how do I explain to my 5 year old daughter that we can't go on a cruise next summer? (next summer is really the only option for next year for a variety of reasons)... I couldn't book onboard and get the discount because I can't book for summer of 2006. Basically, DCL's decision really fouled things up for me. I guess I'll have to take my business elsewhere. A shame really, because we had a wonderful cruise.

jrydberg.... ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND???:bitelip: Did you use the word PEEVED in the same sentence as DCL?? :faint: OH BOY... I did that last week & let me tell you, the reaction I got was bad enough for me to go out & buy a thesourus to find a word that won't turn people into fire spitting dragons!!!:teeth: -- seriously though, I know how you feel-- our first cruise is coming up & if we like it we wanted to book a 7 day next summer- oh well, looks like we'll be doing a 3 or 4 day- maybe back to back- who knows-- it's pretty disapointing- I understand DCL wanting to go out there but it stinks for us! Plus- right when they come back is hurricaine season! I'm too nervous to cruise then- oh well, such is life- join us on the NON disney DIScruise from NY!!!:D
