So I just finished changing my ADR's for the 4th time...I think...may be 5th. I just started planning this trip in June!!:lmao: Of course that could have been part of the problem. It was a last minute idea so I really didn't have time to plan well.

So I want to know....has anyone NOT changed their ADR's at all???

Thanks,
Kimba

I think I made 3-4, maybe 4-5 changes for this past trip. I am really going to try to be more organized next time! When we got home this last trip we made some notes on things we learned this go around. We already have our ADR's picked out and can book as of September 15th. So as soon as the March '08 calendar is available we will sit down and pencil in the dates and times we would like to schedule.
For example, we really enjoyed our dinner at CG but it had been a long day and we were exhausted by the time it was over. Well it just happened to be evening EMH at MK that night and my DH REALLY wanted to go. But DD and I were wiped out...so this time we know to plan CG for the day of evening EMH at MK but let it be a morning that we sleep in late. Then we can do the EMH at MK that evening and not be crabby and cranky!
There is a METHOD to our madness.

I have made many changes....MANY changes:laughing: !

I think that when you book your ADR's 180 days out, changes are almost inevitable. I've had time to re-plan my park days and shuffle a few ADR's here and there. If I make changes, I will ''try'' to make them once we arrive at WDW....if there is availibility. If not, well I will be happy with the ones I've made.

Well I would be just fine and go with my first instincts if it were NOT for these pesky boards!!! I mean there I am and all set and then someone says Narcoosees has been going down hill and someone else says ooh CG is the best on site. So there goes my plan for Narcoosees... And then somebody says to be sure to do a big deal on your last night there. Well darned if that didn't sound like a good idea - so - changed from CG to a Fantasmic package at the Brown Derby! - and that is just for one evening and my trip is still 2 months away. I either need to stay off these boards or my plan will soon be totally unreadable with all the crossed out confirmation numbers!!!

I have not changed mine "yet". I still need to find a good counter service for our MGM day. I'm not planning on doing it at MGM, so I'm looking to go to a resort for lunch.

lets just say that after viewing on the telly one of the hotels, and seeing the restaurant and all, we both said we are not dining there! (no names mentioned, and no flames please)
but the place obviously was not for us.......:scared1: (just our opinion)

so , for the umpteenth time i called and changed another ressie. still got one i am on the fence about.
that is the beauty of reviews and these boards....:goodvibes

I have changed my ADR'S way too many times. First I didn't like some so we changes, then I was happy but then my mom came so we had to change everything. A few I couldn't get so i'm back to changing till i'm happy:P

I literally do have Disney Dining saved on my cell phone. :rotfl:

You make it sound unusual. :lmao: I have it saved in mine too. I have planned my ADR's and changed my ADR's once already. I have another change in the line up planned, but I am still tweaking the itinerary. I can see a few more possibly happening once they finally cough up the details on the F&W fest. Maggie

Mine are pretty much set in stone. Only DH and I to contend with so that makes it easier. Only one time have I ever changed. First trip and we were staying at the Poly and loved KONA Cafe soooo much that I cancelled my ADR for Cape May (is that Buffet or Cafe???) and went a second time to KONA ... but that's it for me.

So I want to know....has anyone NOT changed their ADR's at all???
ohhh. Me! :goodvibes

So far, I still have 2 months to go and am considering a couple of changes to eat later. Nobody in our family can eat dinner at 5-6pm.

I have Disney Dining on Speed Dial on my cell phone
I call it several times while planning my vacation :)

I change way too often. I put 2-3 times but who am I kidding? The problem is we have too many favorites. We would need a three week trip to get all of them in. It all starts when one of us says "too bad we aren't eating at X this time". Then it begins, the shuffle, the "lets take a family vote", the wheeling and dealing of "I'll give up this if you will give up that so we can go there". Its a strange family hobby we likely will never give up! In fact, we just did this yesterday morning to the tune of about 60 minutes worth of discussion and hold time while we all waited with anticipation to see if the new coveted ADR could be gotten!

Thanks to everyone for voting!! You've made me feel better!! I'm not the only one!! Today I called Disney Dining twice..within 10 mins!!

Disney Dining on my cell phone!!! Why didn't I think of that!!:thumbsup2

Before I made any reservations I spent months studying the different restaurants and menus (taking into account all the different preferences of my family), as well as what parks I want to do on what day (we aren't going with Park Hoppers), so I believe I can safely say that once I made my ressies, they are going to stay just where they are.
I realize that we still have over 4 months till our trip, but unless something unforeseen happens, I have no plans on changing anything (I should also add that I was able to get all the restaurants I wanted at all the times I wanted).

I made the ADR's right after we booked and haven't changed them since! I did add breakfast at Whispering Canyon on checkout day recently, but didn't change any of the existing ADR's.

Well, I polled the "2 or 3" answer, and I am looking at my planner now- I have changed 3 ADRs so far for our October trip, and I am seriously thinking of changing one more (and adding one). So, for this trip at least, I will probably end up with 4 or 5 changes.

Most of them are itinerary related- we changed around which parks we were going to on certain dates. My DD also requested the Plaza for lunch after I made an ADR at Tony's, so we changed that one. Right now, we are thinking of changing on one of our Epcot nights- DH decided he really wants to eat at Teppenyaki (although, I might wait to see what the new menu looks like before we decide). We might also add Tony's on our MNSSHP night.

So far I only made 1 change and it was for the time and not the restaurant. I moved up a dinner ADR so that we would be able to make it to a P&P party. If I knew about the P&P party when I originally made the ADR I would have made it earlier then.

I really hate waiting forever on hold on the phone and I won't make any changes unless it's absolutely necessary. Now if we were able to make changes online, then that might be a different story...

I just called again today!! I changed one and added a new one!!! It really is addicting:lmao: But the more I review my plans the more I see the need to change things!!! DH is going to kill me!!:rotfl:
