Kenny the Pirate said they would be meeting in Epcot starting April 3rd. Just wondering if anyone has seen them yet... how was the interaction, how long were the lines?
Met Joy and Sadness on April 4. Went there at rope drop and waited 30 minutes, would be less if you are quicker than us at rope drop. When we met them at 9:25, line was almost an hour, not sure how it was the rest of the day. They were great, Sadness really played the sad part well, and the room was well done. After that Baymax was just 10 minute wait at 9:30.
When you say on the other side of the breezeway, do you mean they are in the same spot as Big Hero 6? I want to know exactly where to go. Also, if you have a PPO ADR, will you be able to position yourself near the M&G area? Just trying to figure out the strategy. Believe it or not, I've never done RD or PPO ADRs before. We sleep in, lol. Thanks!Joy & Sadness meet on the opposite side of the breezeway from where Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy meet.
They have their own separate line and Baymax also has a separate line. No FP for either line.
Others were reporting waits up to 90 minutes for Joy and Sadness.
Thank you so much! I may just can all the fps and spend my time in line. That would definitely be a highlight for my kiddos as well!We met them today (Friday afternoon April 8th); after riding Figment, my 4 yr old had no interest in any of the other "toddler-friendly" EPCOT attractions like Nemo or Crush, and she flat out said no to Pixar films. I asked her if she wanted to meet Joy and Sadness and she said yes despite my telling her it would be a long wait. We arrived (it's the area right by Baymax) around 3 in the afternoon. The cast member told us it would be a 60 minute wait. We could bring our stroller in line and my 4 yr old was content to sit the entire time and eat a lollipop. The CM overestimated and it ended up being a 40 minute wait instead. The character interaction was absolutely adorable. Joy danced and encouraged my daughter to play with the control panel. Sadness really played the role well (i.e. wiping away "tears", hanging her head, slumping shoulders, trudging her feet, etc) to the point my daughter kept hugging her and telling her "don't be sad". Both signed autographs in my daughter's book. Despite no FP offering, it was worth the wait for us. If you ask my daughter what the highlight of EPCOT was, she'd respond meeting Joy and Sadness, and playing on the Flower & Garden Festival playground (for almost a half an hour!)

Yes, not a good plan at all. We actually have ADRs at the Garden Grill, but that's after park opening. I think we're just going to wait. A PP said you could keep the stroller in line, and that's fine with me. We waited around an hour for Baymax and Hiro last visit, and it wasn't that bad. They will be in the same area as Baymax with their own line.
Isn't the PPO ADR for Akershus which is in Norway? You will need to walk all the way to Future World to meet the characters.
