Anyone live in or near Crystal River, Fla??

Santa gave my DH and DD11 Scuba Diving gear and scuba lessons! They are so excited to do this and we were going to make this a family trip. (First weekend in February) DFIL and DMIL are also going. While they are taking lessons and certification, I will have DMIL and DS6 and DD4 with me all day.

What is there to do in this town or nearby?? I don't want to spend time hanging in the hotel...I like to tour the area with the kids..

we are planning on going on Monday. We go a couple times a year. It is very relaxing.

You could also do a swim with a manatee tour but I don't know how that would work with the younger kids. You can google that because there are several different vendors who do this. The park is a nature park with animals. My girls are 4 and 7 and we enjoy it, especially Lou the hippo. HTH

It is less than a 2 hour drive to WDW. Follow SR-44 East to a quick hop onto I-75 South onto the Turnpike.
