Anyone live in Celebration Florida

What is the rental situation in Celebration? For living there, not vacationing.

plenty of rentals now that there is an apartment complex. Rents can run anywhere from $800 for a garage apartment and up. Garage apartments include all utilities.

Generally figure $100 per square foot for a rental

I can't remember a time when pools weren't allowed, and we've been here 11 years. I'm going to have to ask some of the older folks. There are some pretty small yards, and people still put pools in them! We do have four pools for resident use, which is really nice. And the HOA has worked hard to control dues. The only thing we can't control is the price of houses. Pricey homes is unfortunate if you are trying to buy, or fortunate if you are trying to sell. Depends which side you are on.

Thanks for that info. i could have sworn when we were looking to build there in Celebration they said we couldn't have our own pool, i guess we had a misinformed realtor! as soon as hubby is ready to retire i want to look into Celebration again.

Bumping this again. Prices now seem very reasonable. Is this bc it is now undesirable or is Celebration still a great place to live. I will be over 55 by the time I move. Is it ok for seniors who are young at heart?

Could be because there is more building happening here in Celebration. Just do your research on the builder and you should be fine. We had a complex yellow-tagged recently because of a design flaw. http://www.wftv.com/news/local/celebration-apartments-deemed-not-safe-for-residents/592351319

This is a great place for all ages, and especially for seniors. There is a group called the Celebrators for seniors, and The Stetson Lifelong Learning group. http://www.stetson.edu/celebration/home/lifelong-learning.php

We are going on 15 years here with no plans to go anywhere.
