anyone listening?

Why not a classics channel? I haven't watched more than 5 minutes of DC since Vault disappeared. Would it be too cost ineffective?

A Vault Disney channel was being seriously considered back in 2000. But then Vault Disney's ratings dropped like a rock in its last few years, and at the same time TV Land's ratings began plummeting too. TV Land's ratings are still down nearly 20% from last year, with no end in sight.

Hallmark Channel bought the TV rights to 100 old Disney movies last year, which they showed frequently at first, but then the ratings weren't good, and now you can barely find a Disney movie on the Hallmark schedule.

There obviously just isn't enough demand for old Disney programs on TV, and we're gonna have to suffice with DVD releases.

Presentations finally finished! Eisner says there will be about a 20 min Q&A, then the vote announcement.

Hooorayyyy!!! 20 minutes of Q&A and then the preliminary vote results!!!!!

Does anyone know if they had an ABC presentation? I came in late.

I have yet to see anything on ABC Family that justifies the price that Disney paid for it.

Just wait. Now that Anne Sweeney has taken over ABC Family, I expect a lot of good things from that network in the next year or so.

Frankly, I don't think park admissions is all THAT high. I would happily pay 50.00 to go to the parks all day, and all night. Oh wait, they close at 7p.

Were the DS mentioned at all during all these presentations?

I think Buffett sold off ALL his shares years ago.

yes, certain times are less expensive IF you're willing to take the kids out of school!!!

Eisner KNOWS that Warren Buffet voted FOR him............but doesn't know how many shares (if any) he maintains. If you say so............

Shareholder Question - "Will they ever drop the cost of entry into the parks?"

ME - ARE YOU KIDDING???!!!

No seriously - he directed the guy to the specials that are run by "partners" - and said that the "value" of the trip is found after you arrive at the park and the fact they TRY to keep it affordable for the average family.

CNBC stated they expect a preliminary vote count result in the next 10 - 15 minutes.

Maybe he means Jimmy Buffet.

After many margaritas......
