Hi everyone
Trying to get all my character dining organized, last year we did Ohana's, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's and Garden Grill....gonna do Crystal Palace and Ohana's again for sure, just wondering about Donald's Breakfastosauras and if its fun, how the characters are and how good the food is?? Thanks guys

YES, we love donald's breakfast. they food was fresh, hot and good.there has been lots of different reviews on this board but we loved it when we went this past sept and we will be there again this aug. The characters were great with us.:hippie:

We have had very good meals there. When there in Jan this year, we found it to be a bit on the chilly side inside though. We were in one of the back areas, and it was tough to eat fast enough in order to be eating hot food!!
But, we enjoy the buffet there a lot and the characters are great. Some of the greatest servers there as well.

one of my bottom 2 character dining experiences. the selection of food is small for a buffet and wasn't that great (ohana offers less food, but it was VERY good in comparison), they do make sure you get to see the characters the way it's set up (which is in direct contrast to my other least favorite), but they sort of march on through. this restaurant heavily relies on the server and the gag-like atmosphere.

We've gone twice and have enjoyed both meals. It's fun too because the characters are dressed in safari-wear.

I liked it. Its not my favorite character dining experiences just because its so hard to get good pictures. It's pretty dark in there. But, the food was hot and fresh for sure. Maybe I'm just saying that because I was one of the first ones in that morning with an 8:00 ressie. Also the great thing about having such an early ADR is that you get to enter DAK early to get to Breakfastosaurus. IMHO it was just cool to see the tree of life not surrounded by people, which can make a great unique "empty park" photo on your way to the restaurant. Plus we were done at like 8:55 so we left the restaurant and started to head over to Expedition Everest so we were one of the very first peple in line there. Very cool. Skipping the long bag check and ticket insert lines are great. In the early morning everyone just kind of flows through those lines because its only the few people that have ADRs. So to me that was a major advantage.
Anyway whatever you do, you won't be disappointed.
:goodvibes

of course, depending on when you go, it's a lot easier to get an empty tree pic than you might think..

i can't get exact details, but this was taken in sept, about 20 mins after park close

We loved it there, will go back.

We have done this breakfast several times and have enjoyed the buffet, many selections to choice from. The character setting seems rushed, but enjoyable.

We enjoyed it a lot, but probably won't be going back, at least for a while, especially since we're not really morning or breakfast people. ;)

We have been twice with our kids and plan on going back in May. We had no problems getting pics with our favorite characters and the food was very good. The selection is limited but all the breakfast staples are there and done well!

We did this during our honeymoon, honestly I was a bit surprised. The seating is really pretty tight, the buffet is right in front of the doors to enter, and was honestly not that big (much smaller than CP, CM, or any of the others) The had choices of Krispy Kremes, Already made chocolate chip pancakes, danish, eggs, bacon, sausage. The chars while cute in their gear were a bit slow even visiting the tavles. We were there for a while before we even saw one. While theme is cute I would try elsewhere next time.

Personally, I love it there. I'm not a big breakfast person, but the food is delicious! I thought they had a pretty good variety, and it's a little different then the generic breakfast buffets (ie food at CM) The characters were a little rushed, but they did hit every table and paused for pictures. It may also have had something to do with the fact that we had a very late ADR. It was very cute to have photos of the Mickey Goofy & Donald in different costumes. I would recommend trying it out! We're going back there in August :thumbsup2

We did it last August and didn't like it at all. Firstly there was a long line to get to the podium and then our wait for the table seemed forever (we waited about 20 minutes past our ADR time and there was someone else who was already 40 minutes past theirs). We were seated about as far away from the buffet as you could get but at least our server was nice.

The buffet choice was OK but there was always a very long line to get near the hot stuff and when DS and DD went on their own they were gone so long I had to check on them and I found that adults were constantly pushing inf front of them. We've had much better breakfasts at Chef Mickey's, Boma and our favorite Cape May

I will agree with the PP that you can have a bit of a wait at the podium, but we never feel it is bad enough to make us not continue to go there.

We love the food there. As a matter of fact just last week I made our ADR there for Oct. :)

If wait time worries you, I suggest making an ADR as early as possible (I believe the earliest are around 8am) That way you'll be one of the firsts to be seated & get your food
