Anyone left their car at the resort while on a short cruise?

Our situation.....We like to rent a car, and will be staying at VGF before the 3 night cruise, and OKW after the cruise. Friends will be driving down to stay with us before we all go for the cruise. We will drive together to the port and now have one car to leave at WDW. Has anyone had this issue? What did you do? We took ME last year and hated it, horrible experience, I don't know if I could get my dh on the bus again, and we like having the rental.

Ideas anyone?

Great question, following along to learn more.:earsboy:

Rent from alamo and turn it in when you go to the cruise, then if needed, rent again when you return.

Be sure to price National as well as Alamo, it is rare, but occasionally National is cheaper. Unless things have changed, they both share the car rental facilities at WDW.

I would return your rental car and re-rent when you get back from the cruise.

Good ideas about rerenting, but it is only a 3 night cruise. It would be nice if Disney offered a plan for people who drive/rent then stay before and after at a Disney property on each end of a Disney cruise.

A question for the Disney Parks Moms Panel

I was thinking about staying on Disney property before and after our cruise, but can I leave me car at the resort while we are on the cruise?
Ahoy Robin -
Thanks for sailing by for a repeat visit to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! .... Robin, you are able to leave your car at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel during your cruise. Please notify the resort hotel at the time of check-in of your plans to leave your car parked during your Disney cruise.

I seemed to find an answer that works for me on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Remember the valet is $35 a DAY, not just to park for the week, it's a daily rate.

You need to look at the date of that post. If it was before they started charging for overnight parking, it could have changed since then.
