Anyone know why the Safari was shut down this morning?

Line was closed between 9:30 and 10. Back up now with a posted wait of 105 minutes.

When we were there last summer it closed for about 45 minutes because an animal was blocking one of the jeeps. Nothing could move until it moved.

Same thing happen to us last year ,,
Happens about once a week. If an animal decides to stop in font of a truck, it then backs up all the other trucks. If trucks are stuck on the safari and can't load, they'll cut the line off.

We were blocked for at least 30 mins by a giraffe some years back and since Disney carefully spaces the trucks I'm sure folks on the loading platform when this happened stood for those 30.

THIS^^^

We went 2 years ago and had fast pass for the safari. The line was closed and the CM told us an animal was in the road blocking the trucks. Check back alittle later and they'll honor our fast pass then.

SEE?!? You're telling me that wasn't intentional?!?! It's a coordinated work stoppage!!! :D

Same thing happened to us in Dec 2014.

But we were in the truck and the animal was right in front of us.

A couple people in the truck asked why the driver didn't shoo the animal away.

Because, alas, due to the steep funding cuts at WDW caused by cost over-runs at Shanghai Disneyland, the driver had no shoos.

You guys are a riot. Figured it was an animal problem of some sort. We switched up our morning plans and relied on FPs for the safari in the late afternoon.
