Line was closed between 9:30 and 10. Back up now with a posted wait of 105 minutes.
Same thing happen to us last year ,,When we were there last summer it closed for about 45 minutes because an animal was blocking one of the jeeps. Nothing could move until it moved.

Happens about once a week. If an animal decides to stop in font of a truck, it then backs up all the other trucks. If trucks are stuck on the safari and can't load, they'll cut the line off.Same thing happen to us last year ,,
Animals striking for better wages?

Re-charge the batteries in the elephants.
Right. They just tap their Magic Bands and have everything billed to their confinement pens.Everyone knows the elephants at DAK never charge.
We were blocked for at least 30 mins by a giraffe some years back and since Disney carefully spaces the trucks I'm sure folks on the loading platform when this happened stood for those 30.

Same thing happened to us in Dec 2014.
But we were in the truck and the animal was right in front of us.
A couple people in the truck asked why the driver didn't shoo the animal away.
