Since this game started very late, does anyone know if they are going to keep it open longer or is it still going to end at 8:30? I have no chance of getting in unless they allow for the full three hours then I think I have a shot.

Sleepingbeautymama, I don't think there is a big chance it will run much later (ie 20 minutes, if anything at all) than the planned end time. Since the VMK pass, they have made an effort to close very close to the scheduled time.

I have held out hope a few times, so I don't mean to discourage you. Just wanted to share what I have experienced.
