It's one of the reef fish. It has no speaking part, but featured as Nemo is riding his mannaray teacher to the drop off.

The fish is flat with pink and white dots and seems that thick as a piece of fabric. I thought it came from the jelly fish family, but I cannot find it on google.

Any clues would be helpful.

Thanks, L

the only thing I can think of is the Halibut but it wasnt pink.

I think I know the creature you are thinking about but I don't have the name. It was sort of flat and pink with white dots and the edges kind of "fluttered" as it swam. It was one of the things Nemo was looking at while he was riding on the Stingray at the beginning of the movie, right?

It caught my eye too. Hope you find the name.

This one? If so, it is just listed as a pretty pink jellyfish.

it's a flounder, i'm almost positive, if that's the one you're speaking of. it's flat and both eyes are on one side, unlike most fish... it's got purple spots and blends in with the sand... is that the one??

Miss Park Avenue is correct. It was the fish that was shown when Nemo was riding on his teacher. They peered down onto the reef and this bright pink and white fish?? was swimming. It's ends were like fabric in the wind.

Any clues would be helpful.

Thanks, L

great job battrica~ Looks like the fish to me.

If you have the DVD, you can look up the characters. I don't think this guy was named.:(

I looked at this, but not all of them are identified - just the major characters. I too, think that it was the flounder.

I think the thing you are was thinking of is the snail like thing... I'll try to find a picture of it..

Is this kind of it? A nudibranch??

I was just reading someones blog and I found this:

I saw Finding Nemo and The Pirates of the Caribbean at the drive-in in Northfield on friday night. Good times were had by all. Finding Nemo rocked my world. I laughed a bazillion times - something i desperately needed - and couldn't stop thinking about some of the characters as members of my own family. Right down to short-term-memory-loss-me. Plus, the Ray that was the teacher rocked. And there was a cameo by a nudibranch! I adore nudibranchs!

So I am almost positive it is the nudibranch :)

This bugged me so much that I had to put on the dvd. :)

Chromodoris Daphne

I think it may be a sea slug, like the one in the link above. Bottom row, 2nd on the left.

I just looked up the actor who voiced Mr. Ray, Ron Peterson III.

Guess what...he also did Roz the dispacter in Monsters, Inc.

Isn't that nice? LOL!

I was looking for the name of this pink fish myself. I finally found an answer. It is a Spanish Dancer.

Doesnt' it yell at the kids or Marlin tells them to get out of his yard or something? The flounder I mean.
