Anyone know the current incentive?

Does anyone happen to know what the current incentive is for purchasing DVC? Last I checked (several months ago) it was $10 off per point or one year's points. Thanks.

We went on the tour 9/4 and the incentive was $10 off per point ($91 per point).

I believe new members have to give up their first year points to get the $10 off. Existing members keep current points for $10 off. Also, current members have until the end of the month to get the two AP's with 130 point add-on. I could be wrong....

I just got off the phone with Jeff at DVC and was told the current incentive is $10 off per point and the current use year is DEC. So you will get all 2006 points plus the $10 off. I am assuming the $10 off is for selling back 2005 points. I didn't ask since I will probably be financing, so the $10 is a better deal for me. If you have any more questions, let me know and I will ask for you when I call back.

The other option was to pay full ($101) but get matching 'builders' points (i.e. 200 matching + 200 for Dec use year) = 400 points for Dec 2006 use year
which in some instances the extra 200 pts might be worth more than the $10/pt depending on how you use them

Still confused here - I thought they were pre-selling new buildings? If so, there are no 2005 points, right?? I assume the 2006 points can't be used until your unit is completed. So anyone can call and get $91 with 2006 points regardless of UY?

The incentive (for buying 200 points) was either $2,000.00 or 200 points. So $10.00 a point or 400 points for 2006 (i.e. you still got 2006 points)...

So as I understood it, you could get the $2000.00 and still get 200 points for 2006 (now this is the way I understood it - and I quizzed the DVC rep about this and he re-affirmed it)...

I thought the presentation was fantastic - and I had done research (here and other places) prior to the presentation. I think for us it's not a question of IF we'll buy into DVC - but WHEN...

I also thought the incentives were good enough to move on - if I'd of had the cash to do it I would have bought immediately.

Exactly.. $10/pt off (200=$2000) or extra X pts for 2006 UY.

We took the extra 200 pts (200 pt contract) so have 400 for 2006..
having just used 54 for a studio over christmas (normal booking=$1700).. and still having 346 pts left over for dec06 till nov07, i think we're glad we took the pts.

no you are not wrong you are completly right.
new members will buy into phase 3
current members will buy into phase 2

The guide didn't say anything about pre-sell. He said that if I gave the 10% deposit with a CC over the phone, I could make reservations the next day.

I will post all the specifics tommorrow after I call DVC and give the deposit.

Yes, it is only for SSR. I don't know the current price to purchase at any of the others (I'm thinking $95pp) but there is no discount. However, depending on the UY, you would get the full allotment of points for whatever UY you are in. For instance, if you bought 200 pts at BWV with a Dec UY, you would get the 200 pts from the '05 allotment and then get 200 more on Dec 1, 2006 when the '06 UY starts.
