Anyone know of something going on OCT 11, 2018?

I was looking ahead to see what our chances are of getting a GV at OKW in Oct 2018 & we had settled on 10/11-16. When I look it up, I noticed that the 7th & 11th are the only night booked for the entire month! I didn't see that it was a Moonlight Magic Night. So, wondering if there was something else I was unaware of...I've booked at our home resort, but was just hoping to get OKW. We really love it there for the spaciousness. I know things can change, but thought Thursday night by itself, was just odd! Debbie

True. I just thought it odd just one day was not available instead of a string of days!

Thursday are often the first nights to book. I can only guess that some people are starting a long weekend trip on Thursdays and then you have the cross over of people who are there the entire week.

I share this opinion. There are still many members who prefer to stay Sun - Thurs (check out on Friday to avoid more expensive nights). That along with those who want long weekends for F&W make it likely that Thursdays are the first to go.

Also, Columbus Day is 10/8. There are quite a few school districts that have that entire week off for a fall break, making 10/11 an even more popular Thursday than the others in October.

There is also a conference that week; it may be that some people are swapping from conference sites to DVC for the weekend post-event.

The Thurs before Columbus Day to the second weekend after Columbus Day is an extremely high DVC demand time. What you are seeing is nothing unusual for OKW GV's during that time. Those two days are already full and most of the other days in that period are likely very close to being full. The two days likely just have more checking in than checking out than other days.
