In the past we have taken Mears transportation from disney resort. But if you have ever taken mears to Seaworld you may know it is a nightmare when you come back. I am wondering if anyone knows of another means of transportation that will pick you up and bring you back from a disney resort.

pm or e-mail me wisbucky@athenet.net :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

While we were at WDW last summer, we made a side trip to SeaWorld. If you go over to the TTC, there is a bus, right next to the WL buses, that is the Orlando transit system bus. It's called Lynx (links). I believe it is bus 25 you want, but the info window can verify that. It will drop you off at the parking lot entrance to SeaWorld. For the trip back, you just cross the parking lot again, cross the main street (not a big deal) and there is a Lynx bus stop right there. You do have to tell the driver that you want to be dropped off at the main entrance to SeaWorld when you get on at TTC. It is $1.25 each way per person. Have the correct change. And it does run on a schedule, so be sure to get one. I believe there is a Lynx web-site also that gives you this info. We found this method of transport quite easy and nice.

Now why did I think it was #25...it was 50. Thanks for the correction. Heaven only knows where #25 would go to.

Wow! Can't beat $1.25/person :) How long was the bus ride?

official time is 21 mins, but plan on 30 mins, make sure you are waiting at the lynx sign it is a circle with a cat foot print in it. Can't remember if it says lynx or not there.
no need to worry about hopping on the 25 by accident, it runs on the north side of orlando. and goes no where near Disney.

Anyone know how many times during the day the disney bus for TTC runs through OKW. I dont recall seeing one there, but have at other Disney resorts so they have to. Also what is the disney bus marked "special" for.

We had a great ride, not crowded, no hassle and cheap. The dropoff was just across the parking lots from SeaWorld. Be sure to check the schedule and make sure you go to the other side of the street from SeaWorld (on the side where the Renaissance Hotel is) for the return pickup in time for the last bus. The last bus is fairly early in the evening, I think. The website has the exact schedule and the drivers are very helpful.

To get to TTC from any Disney Resort you have to take a Disney Bus to the Magic Kingdom Park, then get on the Monorail or Ferryboat to TTC, where then you can take the Lynx Bus.

Also there are two Lynx routes: The #50 Route which is the one everybody been refering too and also the #56 Route which also picks up at TTC, The #56 Route I beilive will make a stop at a Super Walmart in Kissimine.

the #56 goes out 192 east of Disney. it does stop at Old Town, and publix thats across the street roughly. several ponts along 192 have stops, this route travels to the Ocesola SQ MAll. It does stop at the WALMART super center on 192 thats open 24 hours.

Does the Lynx bus #56 run 24 hours from the TTC center?

The DVC really needs to get a shuttle for DVC members to use for odd runs. Be a nice bonus for being a DVC member or staying at one of the vacation resorts. AGREE????
