Our little yorkie found some silly putty. It doesn't look like I cut the putty out. Any ideas for a bath ingredient to dissolve the putty? THANKS in advance.
Seems like when I was a kid, and got some in my hair, that my mom used ice to freeze it to where it was brittle and it came right out. I think it was silly putty. Could have been chewing gum tho,, but then, I wasn't allowed to have chewing gum,, so maybe it was silly putty,,,,
Ice doesn't work - at least it didn't on DD's hair. We had success with Goo-Gone & a nit comb. It's too bad I didn't have that link 8 yrs ago!
At least with DD we got a good laugh out of it at the end...after all the naughty words I was thinking as I sat there getting it out of her long hair! When I got her to school, they asked for her tardy slip. I hadn't filled it out because I couldn't think what to write. When I told them what had happened, they couldn't stop laughing & said "You can't write THAT!" Eventually, though, the principal came out, heard the story & told us to "Go ahead & write that down. The district office could use a good laugh, too."
When DD was younger she fell asleep with silly putty and it ended up all in her hair, I ended up using a whole lot of detangler and it all came out. This was on a Disney trip and I didn't have much to work with so thankfullyit did work!
I remember my childhood adventure with silly putty very clearly and i was only 5. My brother, sister and I were making imprints of the couch cushions when it became glued on and we couldn't get it off. I remember we were sitting on it trying to hide it from my mother when she asked what we were doing
