It just picked it for me and I am cool because we all sit together. But I would have liked to at least seen the seating chart. Anyone know wether these seats are good. Plus I was wondering does that mean one of us will sit across the aisle? I couldn't remember if it was 3 or 4 seats together? By the way I checked in 24 hours in advance and did not pay the extra money and I very pleased as of now at least with what I got!:thumbsup2

If you go to Airtrans website and check your reservation, it will allow you the option to change your seats. Don't change them if you don't want to, but it will show you the seating chart for your flight.

It just tells me this seating can no longer be changed and doesn't show me the little airplane diagram. Maybe its booked? I just wanted to see where are seats were?

If you are on a 737, seats are 3 & 3. If you are on a 717, seats are 3 & 2 I believe. Either way, you will have at least one of you across the aisle.

Just checked Airtrans website. I assume you are on flight 403. Your plane is a 737, so you will have 3 seats together on the left side of the plane as you face forward, and the one on the aisle right next to you.

I like Row 12. Coach seats on AirTran start at Row 10. So you're near the front and can see out the window without obstruction. As stated above, on a 737 seats a,b,c, and d are 3 on the left with d being on the aisle right. On a 717 the seats are a,c on the left and d,e,f on the right. IMHO I'd stay put.

:) The seatguru website is a great place to check seating - listed by airline, type of plane, etc. Also shows which seats to avoid. Here's what they show for an Airtran 737:

My DH, DS and I flew non-stop from Indianapolis to Orlando on Thanksgiving Day on AirTran. I checked in online exactly at the 24-hour mark and we were in seats 10 DEF. My reservation had a different confirmation number than husband and son, because when the fare went down on one seat, my reservation had to be split off from theirs. I checked-in for husband and son first, and was surprised that my seat was next to theirs. Obviously the computer knew we were traveling together.

Fast forward to the day before our return flight. I was at a park, so I asked my DH to check-in online. He did mine first and I was in seat 10F (window). When he checked in for himself and our son, they got seats 29 A and B!!! :lmao: He didn't see a place to change it, so that's where they sat! There was a large group of band kids on the flight home, so perhaps all those kids got their seat assignments between the time my DH checked in for me and him!
