Has anyone ridden Splash Mountain after it went down for rehab for a couple of days in late November? I was just wondering if everything in the attraction was back in working order again?

Yeah - anyone notice what they did?

I just rode it on Sunday night. I really didn't notice anything different. It was so dark out that you really couldn't see anything at all during the outside parts. I had never ridden it when it was dark before. We were stopped several times in the boat though during the ride and when we first got in had to sit for 15 minutes. Not sure what that was about.

i rode it on wednesday---didnt notice anything different..we got stopped a few times too--i got SOAKED!!

Gla to hear it's up and going :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

I remember being there in October and thinking how dirty it was, especailly outside at the top where they have the fire and clothes hanging up, if memory serves me correctly, I remember seeing chewing gum on a few walls also,, I may be crazy,, but for some reason that stands in my mind.. The other thing I noticed, was how all the characters, animations looked "dusty" to me... I would LOVE to hope that they cleaned it them up.. JMO... Either way,, it is still a great attraction for my family!

On my past two trips I have noticed that Sm has broken down alot more than usual. I have been stuck on it for 30 minutes before while they basically shut the ride downand rebooted it several times. I have also seen it go down for almost an entire day. I had hoped this was something that they were going to fix when it went down for rehab. Also noticed quite a few of the effects were still not working. Water jumping over your head in the laughing place, Brer Rabbit popping up before the laughing place...and the giant rip in the sky background in the final riverboat scene.

Brer Frog was not in the cue line the first time we rode it but was back later in the week. The water jumping was on and off. Brer Rabbit was "sleeping" during the part where he runs up and down the hill. We could see him sitting there not moving with his stick and backpack. The shadow where he is chased over the hill was on on then off. A few other things were not working but for the most part everything else looked fine...

The gophers that pop up during the laughing place bit were not working on 12 Nov...and also the Brer Rabbit bit mentioned by Wendy 1974. When we went on the days it was down it was odd to see it without any water. I noticed some people milling around the track at the bottom of the drop, don't know what they were doing, fixing, checking who knows?

I saw that it has another couple of days scheduled for a mini rehab in January, perhaps the days in November were used to catalogue what needed to be fixed, so they could have all the bits ready to fix it up in Jan, just a thought.

I rode it twice last week and noticed that the padded hand rails you hold onto don't smell. It always seemed to me they had a really gross odor.

They definately scrubbed the logs and repadded some. They were not as funky as they usually are. All of the elements appeared to be in fine working condition.

With short refurbs like this, you will not see major changes in the ride. Splash Mountain needs a SERIOUS 8 week refurb in order to get it to the condition it should be in.

i just read on disney's website (12/6) that splash mountain will be closed for refurbishment from 1/23-1/27 - when i'll be there!
