I've not seen a single lovebug recently. There are a lot of dragonflys right now.

Thanks for the

taking the kiddos with us this time and then we will probably not get back for a while if DH has any say in it. But the Free dining sure pulled us in this time!

Dragonflies are great! We love them!

Lovebugs - not so much.

We leave in 5 days so it is looking like they will be there if I am reading this correctly, right?

Grrrr.....stupid lovebugs!

bump!! I'm interested in the latest lovebug report too...we leave in 4 days!
TIA

Just got back from an August 30- September 6 trip and not a one in sight! Last year, we were there from September 23-28 and they were terrible.

Just returned Sat Sept 8th from an 8 day visit. No lovers in sight. :woohoo:

I've been checking my car every day after the drive home, just in case I need to wash it. No bugs yet. However, last year, they didn't start until after I checked in to Disney, and my check in date was September 12th, so they could still be on the way. I hope they aren't as bad as last September!

I am here right now at Coronado Springs and have not seen one lovebug.

I dont know if this will be any indication on how it is in Orlando but I live in south Mississippi and the lovebugs arrived a few days ago. They are not too bad yet (Ihave seen them much worse) could be an indication that they are headed that way:confused3

Please tell me what a love bug is......I was thinking that love bug week was for lovers.....:lmao:...............Please tell me what they are...thanks in advance

They kind of remind me of a box elder bug, or a long lady bug. Except the stick together while breeding, and are everywhere

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek:eek: ....couple of questions for you.
How close is Panama City to Orlando? When they come, how long does the infestation usually last? Just a week and they are gone or longer?

Thanks for updating us with ;) the bad news! I am getting itchy just thinking about them.
Mrs. Disney Ron

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you.

Panama City is about 6 hours from Orlando, in the panhandle.

We've noticed a steady increase in bug sightings around here the last few days, soooo... :scared1:

The flights (what their swarming is called) last about a month and a half total, maybe? It's bad for 3 weeks, maybe?

I will say that it doesn't seem as bad as last year, I remember thinking that the air went from no-bugs to black with them overnight. Not nearly that bad, for now.
